Hello,
Over the past two months I have lost about 12 pounds. I am very excited about this, however I cannot seem to lose excess belly fat. I have lost inches in that area, but I have loose flabby stuff. It is gross. Any advice on how to get rid of this. I excercise every day and eat pretty well too. So I don't know what else to do. Thanks, T.

What can I do next?

I love Joanie Greggan's Super Stomachs!!!

It really works! easy, too and only takes 12 minutes a day - she suggests 5 times a week!

Stomach muscles are the hardest and the smartest. YOu have to change your routine constantly. Try twisting with a broom side to side. And sideways up and down. Your push ups should be more about your back touching the ground than always lifting your upper body. WHen you are lifting your body up for push ups try it with a twist and then try it backwards with your legs crossed and lift your feet. I hope this not too confusing. Oh and try a bouncer. They are supposed to be great for loosing cellulite. ANd stay away from bread, pop and alcohol. Drink lots of water. Also try eating an apple before each meal. It helps with the appetite.

Is is lower belly fat you are trying to get rid of? Like between the belly button and pubic line? If so, lay flat on the floor and put your legs up in the air, so you look like a capital L, then use your lower belly muscles to lift your buttocks up off of the floor repeatedly. If done correctly, you will feel those forgotten muscles working after just a few lifts. It is more difficult for women to get rid of belly flab than men because women's belly fat layer is on the outside of the muscle wall, while on men the fat layer is underneath the muscle layer. Good luck!

The thing that has worked for me is the south beach diet. The stomach is the first place you loose the wieght. Give it a try.

This may sound too "easy" but I suck in my tummy as much as I can. When I am in the stopped at a light in the car, walking, on the eleptical. Just keep sucking it in. That has worked wonders for me. When I open a door. Everything. Also when I got my exercise ball and did cruches on that I noticed a difference as well. Make sure also that you are doing a lot of cardio. That can't hurt. And all kinds of crunches help as well. Change it up your tummy muscels are "smart". Good luck and now most of us struggle!
