Well, I am going to try and make this question quick. In May 2007, I suffered a miscarriage(I did not know I was preg). In Sept of 2007 we TTC. No luck. We continued through June 2009 with still...no luck. I got my period in July. No period in August. I thought...wow, maybe I am preg. Test was negative.
In sept 2009, I found a mass under my breast. After emergency surgery at a local hospital(due to its fast rate growing), I had it lanced and drained. My body was in shock! I allowed my body to heal. I was also checked at hospital before surgery to see if I was preg, and they said no.
Still no period. No period in jan, feb, march, april, may, nor in June. Thats it, I am going to the doctor. I had spent way too much $$$$ on tests just to be disappointed.
Well, after tests, ultrasounds, etc...they said that I was menopausing(not peri, and not pre). My FSH level was 140.2(normal for someone of my age and ovulation is 20). I was up in the 50 and 60 yr olds. I was told...no more babys! Really? I was devestated! Still am! Is there a way to reverse this? Can I still by chance get preg? Anyone gone through this and such...please.....I am almost 32. I have a 5 yr old daughter that I am blessed to have.

Added. I forgot to mention that a few weeks ago, I had blood work for a second opinion, and it was down to 125.4

Added...Yes, I do have PCOS, and My Doctor is not just a family Doctor, but my OBGYN and they have a fertility specialist in office, but its more for family planning.

What can I do next?

I would also recommend seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist - the sooner, the better. (One of the country's top reproductive endocrinologists is in Bryn Mawr, Dr. Michael Glassner. Even if it seems like a long drive, I firmly believe it's worth it! He's an excellent, compassionate doctor, who really likes a challenge.)

Definitely see a fertility specialist. They are the authority on these things and the best people to help you.

Have you checked to see if you have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome? I would look into this. Your body probably needs more progesterone.

Yes, I would definitely see a fertility specialist. But this sounds like there is more going on. I myself suffer from celiac disease, which also caused infertility in me before (I have a three year old son now) as one of the "symptoms", and I'm not saying, that you might be, too. But what I'm saying is, that there are mysterious diseases out there, that also could cause this. With celiac disease you do NOT have to have a single symptom, but you could still have this. And in a lot of patience it will cause a malnurishment, so that their bodies don't work the way they are supposed to work. You should check into that. For celiac you will need a gastro specialist. Oh, and don't let them blow you off and tell you, you can't have this for one or the other reason. That's what my doctor tried to tell me repeatedly. I finally just basically told him to do the tests... or else. And I had it, so much for doctor's being clever. About two years after living on the glutenfree diet and my body totally recovering from it's deficits, I finally conceived my son Lukas.

Good luck, Steph!

I would definitely make an appointment with a fertility specialist. The fact that your doc hasn't suggested this is really surprising to me. You are still very young and I am sure there are options for you! You need to get to the specialist who answers these questions for a living. Best of luck to you!

I know this is an obvious question, but just wondering if you've seen a fertility specialist at all? Good luck, sweetie! I'll say a prayer too!
