Need a Good Simple Excersize Dvd.

we are going to disney world at the end of feb. and i just tried on my shorts. i need to loose some weight to have them fit nice again. but i can't go to a gym or curves because of me schedule of babysitting. but i could do something at home while babysitting. so if anyone has any ideas or tips it would be greatly appreciated. help me please!!!!!! ps if it was warmer out i wouldn't mind walking...

Laugh if you want, but I have often put in one of my son's dvds and tried to keep up with all the dancing/moving around. Keeps the kids entertained and some of those (the Wiggles in particular) had me totally winded at the end of the video! Give it a shot!

Someone already mentioned Walk Away the Pounds but I will second that idea. It is a great video, my kids even love doing it with me. You can even play music instead of listening to the lady talk. It is a great way to burn calories when it is too cold to walk outside.

Good luck and have fun on your trip,

I would recomend GILAD he had a program on FIT TV if you have DIRECT TV or you could probably ask you local Library to order you some to try. If you have a day that you want slower pace ther are alot of Yoga shows out there - Try one that combines Yoga with Pillaties or that focases on toning. Don't forget to drink LOTS of water that has always been a key to benifiting from my workouts.
Good Luck.

try pilates.. it is very effective.. i do it whenever i can.. try windsor pilates - accelerated body sculpt workout dvd...

you will notice results in a week.. you can get this dvd at your local library as well..

all the best..

I started using Pilates DVDs to exercise before I had my son who is now 18 months old. I started back up just recently for the same reason you are looking for a DVD.

I just looked for my set of DVDs and it seems my neighbor has borrowed them again so I can't get you the title, but I found them online.

I believe they are Mari Windsor Pilates. The set I have has three DVDs that gradually increase in difficulty and exercise time. The first one is 20 minute exercises and the longest is an hour and a half with Yoga intermission.

I like them because Pilates is relatively low impact but you really feel the workout! AND they focus on building your Core muscles (the tummy) which is what all us mom's can use the help on!!!

Good luck!

Go to the Self magazine's website where you can find simple weekly exercise programs and recipes to help lose weight.

Here are some things I found useful in my experience:
1) Do exercise with hand weights.
2) Weight lifting does the best job to burn calories than other exercises.
3) Pilates is great for at home exercise. You can get dvds or tapes from the city libraries.

seeming you said you would like to get out and walk if it was warmer out then i would also suggest the video Walk Away the Pounds. It's pretty fun and you can choose how long you would like to walk.. a good way to get in a few miles of walking everyday..

Hello

Walk away the pounds, you can do a mile, two,or theree mile walk Dvd. I love it and it works. You can buy it at a Target.

Hope this helps.
