For a children's dentist (I think it's good to have things specialized) I also highly, highly recommend Dr. Mary Hayes. Her number is: ###-###-####

Both take many different types of insurance, both are tops in their field with up-to-the-minute equiptment, well lit, friendly offices, and most importantly they take time with their patients and don't treat them like they are too stupid to deserve an explanation. You are not a number at either practice, you're a person!!!

I'm not sure if my last message went through - Try Dr. Sunil Philip, DMD. He's a young, super nice guy that really knows what he's doing. He's at 1802 W. Chicago Ave and their number is ###-###-####. The office is nothing to write home about, but he really knows his stuff. With a new toothpaste and mouth rinse, he solved my sensitive teeth issue that no other dentist could. I've had at least 4 dentists in the Chicagoland area in the last 8 years.

I've been going to Gary Treinkman at East Village Dental (~900 N Ashland) for a few years. They aren't the cheapest (though they are far from the most expensive, and our insurance covers almost all of it) - they do EXCELLENT work. My dad broke a crown while he was visiting from out of town - they were able to get him in that day and do a "temporary" repair on it. When he visited his dentist back home to have it checked he was told that the repair was so good they wouldn't need to do anything further with it. I have seen the odd child in there, but they aren't specificially a "family" dentist.

I just took my mother to Dr. Firias Katabi at 2220 W. Armitage just off of Leavitt in Bucktown. He was so great to her. My mom does not numb easy so I always take her to an Oral surgeon. He was gentle and caring. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Tell him G. sent you! Also,try Sugar Fix Dental Loft, she has a website here on mamasource. I see her for my dentistry as well as my child who is 9. She is so nice and can see your child.
