Dr. Alan Chen in Plano is great! He is a Oriental Medical Doctor, an Oriental Orthopedic, a Chiropractor, Accupuncturist, and Herbologist. He brings to a patient both sides of the medical field. He helped me overcome numerous physical and neurological problems after a car accident; all of the doctors, neurosugeons, physical therapists, massage therapists, etc. were not able to help me. It's been 8 years since I started seeing Dr. Chen; I feel great, without surgery, without medication.

Is the bulge a swollen lymph gland? My grandson has one that swelled up and never went down. It was biopsyed and it was okay. He usually experiences pain when his allergies are acting up and his lymphs are swelling.

F.,
Be very careful if you choose to go to a chiropractor. The one I chose adjusted my neck and ruptured the disc. I had to have surgery and now have another disc bulging right below where I had surgery. Go to a doctor that will prescribe a predisone pack (steriods), muscle relaxer. and pain medication. The muscle relaxer will make you sleepy so take at night. In the past I was given hydrocodone for pain but it made me feel foggy the next day. My doc just started me on Lyrica at night along with a zanaflex. Works so much better for pain and sleep. I only take 1 etodolac during the day which is a 12 hr pain med like celebrex. (no drowsiness)sp? The steriods and night time meds are temporary until you can get the swelling down. Try not to lift anything heavy over your head and do stretches every day. Massages help me a lot. I am having a flare up now so I am taking all the meds but I have had this going on for 8 yrs and as long as i am careful what I do and lift, it is ok. Physical therapy can help once you get a little better. Avoid surgery if at all possible. PM me if you have any questions. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I don't understand... If you had a diagnosis (which should mean that a doctor diagnosed it), then the question that comes to mind it: what is the name of the diagnosis and what did he/she tell you to do about treatment?

go see a chiropractor. 6 visits (i know it souds like a lot) but you will feel 100% better, and the buldge will go down and be corrected. please dont let them talk you into any kind of surgery or drainage.

Depends on what caused it. Did the diagnosing doctor recommend anyone?
