So What Happened?™
i'd like to thank all of you mommies out there for your advice on the n.e. aquarium. i decided to go with the library idea and have a pass for september a little before school starts. which is good too becasue after that it will be time to buckle her down and get her back into the school routine. oh yeah by the way HURRAY SCHOOLS ALMOST HERE!!!!!!!

Try the library. I know they used to give free tickets to the aquarium and the children's museum. By the way, the children's museum is $1 from 5-9 on Fridays.

R., yes, check your local library. Most I have been to do have passes to great museums and Aquariums. Some still require a small fee, but it is much better than paying the full price.
Enjoy!

Rosie,
Not sure what town you live in, but most of the public libraries around Boston give out discount museum passes. You have to belong to the library (free, you just need to sign up so you have a card with i.d. number). You need to book it in advance--online or in person--and can usually pick up the pass up to a week before you go. I'm taking my kids to the Childrens Museum today..normally $43 for two adults and two kids. But with the pass it is $2 p.p. for a total of $8! We've done a bunch this summer that we couldn't have done without the passes. You should look into it. Good luck!

Check your local library for passes. However I have heard that over the summer there are not any passes.

Check your local library. I know in Boston they have passes to the aquarium and the last time I used the passes it was free for up to 4 people. I don't think they give out passes in the summer but for the other seasons I think they do. You might have to book in advance with the library but it is worth it.

Hi R.,
You can try AAA (if you are a member, or your local library may have passes. It's worth a shot!
Oh, and by the way, I like your description of yourself. I have to agree, laughter is ALWAYS best! Good luck with finding affordable tickets.
