Try giving her a nice long warm bath before bed, and keep a humidifier next to her in the room. You can also prop up the head of her bed a little. Warm fluids (apple juice, or herbal teas) work great to soothe her throat and cough. And honey works wonders too. If your child is still up all night coughing then you should take her to the doctors.

Try putting Vicks on her feet before bed, then socks.
It's supposed to really help coughs.
There is a 'baby Vicks' formulation as well, just for kids. I just bought it the other day.
All the best,
Susan

Hylands Natural Honey Cough Syrup. I could only find it at Whole Foods. My son recently had the same issue...good luck!

I buy some oil from Melaleuca. You just put 2 drops on their pillow or in the sheet of the crib. It works like a champ. Also put a few drops on a cotton swab, then dab it up each nostril and it helps to keep them from being congested. I've done that to my kids ever since my youngest was born. She's 18 months now. But it works so good. Melaleuca is an all natural 100% green company. So I absolutely love all their products and they aren't more expensive then stuff you buy in a grocery store. I tell everyone about them.

Honey is a natural remedy. Your daughter is old enough to have honey and it really helps to coat the throat. Give her a teaspoon and see if it helps. Tha is what my dr. recommends.
