Nanny or Good Day Care Needed

Help! I am in desperate need of a nanny, or a recommendation for good day care. I live in the Uptown area, and work at Presby Dallas (Walnut Hill and 75)
I dont know which to do. I have had him with nannies so far, but I came home and she was not attending to his needs (he was screaming in his crib, so scared and frantic!) I am entertaining the thought of day care for the first time...at least people are around right? The only problem with this is, I am a PA and have patients scheduled during the day - so I CANNOT not go to work of I have a sick baby. I am stuck between a rock an a hard place...any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Hi S.,

My name is J. and I am a stay at home mom of a 3 yr. old girl and a 1 yr. old son. My husband and I have been in church ministry for the past 6 years. He is currently working at Fellowship Church in Downtown Dallas and I am looking to make some extra income.

I am looking to help someone out full-time by taking care of one child. I will provide diapers (if needed),snacks, and meals. I am willing to discuss a price.

I love my children and feel confident in taking care of another.

If you are serious about loking for a nanny and have some questions, please email me.

If you work Mon- Fri., there is a daycare by Presberterian Hospital that have a sniffles room where you take your child when there are sick and you pay additional fees for that day. Medical Center have a daycare also that have a sniffles room that cater to working parents that have a RN on duty to care for your sick child.

Hi S.-

I am a single mommy as well and struggled with the very same situation. I finally placed my daughter in Kid Kountry day care in the M streets. It is family owned and all the girls have been there forever so they have very little turnover. They love on all of those babis in there and as the children get older, they actually teach them things rather than just letting them sit in front of a TV. If you'd like, you can email me at ____@____.com for more info. if needed. Besides as little Stefan gets a couple mos. older, he will love having that interaction with the other little ones in there!

S., Presby Dallas has a great day care but they probably have a long waiting list. As young as he is, if you put him in day care he IS going to fall sick. So, your best option right now is to find a nanny...or share a nanny.
You might try some of the churches on Northwest Highway or by the Northpark Mall...Use this link to search for licensed daycares by zip code.

Hi S.,

Have you looked at the daycare at Presby? My husband works there and if weren't for the fact that we would have had two kids in two different daycares (they don't offer afterschool care for my older daughter) we would have instantly put our youngest in there. Plus, they provide sick care for when you little one is sick!! I fell in love with the place and still consider sending Sarah there....

Good Luck!
Jenn
