Does anyone know where to buy personalized name labels for sippy cups and other baby gear? I guess it would have to be waterproof so it wouldn't wash off. Thank you!

At my daugters' daycare, each baby was assigned a different color. I would use electrical tape in those colors and write their names on the tape. The tape lasts through the dishwasher and never came off until I pulled it off. Electrical tape is very inexpensive.

I bought two sets for my twins sippy cups for school. soooo cute!! However, you cannot put them in the dishwasher. It says o.k. but trust me they fade off. Otherwise if you want to hand wash- great!!

Hi B.,

There is a website you can order them from, but girl that can get expensive, so I bought a Brothers P-Touch label maker and use it all the time for everything from labeling all of my child's stuff to all of my own personal stuff. I scrapbook, so it is great for that too! I bought it 3 years ago and have totally loved it and it has been worth every penny!! I never have to go find any and I have had some of Matthew's sippy cup labeled on for 2 years and it has gone through the dishwasher in all that time! I think it is worth it!

Check them out at Staples, Office Max & Office Depot. They are around $29 or so dollars and well worth it!

Gladys

i bought my own Brother's P-Touch label maker. i LOVE it. and the labels are like laminate, so they last as LONG as any others on the market. i have washed in the dishwasher countless times and they are still on. i use on other items too, like backpacks and even clothes or for security labels (as a bracelet) when we're going to a large public place (i.e. State Fair, Amusement Park, etc.). it is worth the investment and a lot cheaper than buying from others.

I have looked and looked and I can't find anything. The sippy cups I used to have had a rough texture to them so a permanent marker worked great it took forever for the name to wear off, but now they make the surface on them slick and marker washes off now. I also tried the lable maker that has plastic labels and that works the best if you can get your kid to not peel it off.
let know if you find anything. All I can think of to do is maybe roughen up the surface with sand paper and then a permanent marker will work. Lonie

I just searched on Google for "labels for kid stuff" and got a million results, this was the first one I looked at and it looked promising. Also, there is a company that always advertises in the back of magazines like "Parents" and "Cookie", but I can't remember their name. At first I thought it was the www.stuckonyou.com site that a previous poster mentioned, but when I went to that link it took me to a magnetic product site. If you have any old copies of those magazines around check in the back where they have their little ads. Good luck!

The best solution I have found is at Bumpyname.com

Not exactly a label, they are similar to the rubber bracelets - like the Lance Armstrong yellow live strong. Your childs name is "imprinted" on them. There are A LOT of standard names but, you can custom order any name and spelling. They also come in several covers. It has been several months since I ordered them, but, I think the custom orders are slightly more expensive. They are called bumpy because you can also have them done in Braille.

I have been using these for bottles at daycare but, they also work perfectly on the sippy cups I have just started to introduce my 7 month old daughter to. The daycare ladies seem to like them as well. I hope this helps! C.

Check out this website, they can get kind of pricey, but they work. I ordered some for my daughter's sippy cups and the iron-ons for her clothes and they are awesome. I put the labels on her sippy cups about 6 months ago and they have yet to peel off!
Good luck!

My mom bought me one of those label writers. They come on a slick background and last about a year even through the wash. Can't remember the maker, but you can find them at office supply stores or Walmart.

I love our labels from www.stuckonyou.biz. They do not come off in the dishwasher through many, many washings and they have a lot of options for personalization.

They are sooooooo good. You can wash the sippy cup in the dishwasher for 2 years and it will not come off. I've used them for 5 years now, and it is my favorite gift for a newborn for friends.

I don't think they are pricy, it is so worth the money.

Good luck, I.
