Mystic Tans Experience....

I am going to Florida in a couple of weeks and I am so white! I want to go get a spray on tan... I have done this before and it looked great. Only thing I don't have the experience with is the contact with water... If I get in a chlorine pool, will it come off? Anyone's good or bad experiences with these tans, please reply!

I would tell you to try Tanfastic I or II. Their body spray tan is great...I have done this several times, including ofr my wedding and honeymoon, other weddings and vacations. They do a great job!! It last for a week or more. Good Luck!! I tried the Mystic Tan and didn't like it.

I really like the mystic tan. I don't know where you live but the Island Tan in Gladstone is where I go and I like it (if you go to their website www.islandtankc.com and click on coupons you can get a mystic tan for $15). There is a mystic tan website that says "Will swimming affect my tan?--Swimming in chlorinated water or salt water can fade the Mystic Tan™ results, cause possible streaking and will diminish the length of your tan. However, normal activities such as bathing, showering or physical activities will not affect the quality of the tan (source mystictan.com)" So I would say it probably does have an impact on it.

Hope this helps! Good luck and have a good vacation

I too have tried those Tan Towels, but not the Mystic Tan. I liked the Tan Towels, they were quick and easy and I could do it at home. It lasts pretty long, but you can always take some with you to 'refresh' your look!

I got the mystic tan a few years back and I thought it looked HORRIBLE!!! Not sure what are you are in but in the St. Louis area at Tan Co they have something called bells beach. I got this done before my wedding and it looked great. It's kind of like airbrushing but one of the employees actually does it for you so that it is even. It doesn't stain clothes and is non toxic and only takes about 5 mins to get it done.

yes, the tan will start to fade off in chlorine water. Actually, any water makes it come off - just faster with chlorine. Beauty Brands has little wipe-on towels to get a tan but it's not very dark like the spray.

Well, I'm dead opposed to doing any of these types of things...they just aren't good for you...but if you feel that you MUST...please remember that just because it looks like your skin is tanned, it doesn't diminish the fact that you will need to wear sunscreen in FL...my mil did this before she went to Cancun and wrongly assumed it was a base tan...well, let's just say lobster is more becoming on a plate then in your pictures.

Hi S.
I have done the Mystic Tan several times and didn't have any problem with it coming off in water or the pool. It is the only way I can put on a swim suit with no tan! Have a great trip!

I am curious of the spray on tans. How long do they last? How much does it cost and where around this area can you get spray on tans?

Thanks! M.
