Hello R.! Go fot it!! I LOVE mystic tan at Planet Tan. I have done it for several years now and it gets better and better every time. I was diagnosed with skin cancer recently and will never tan any other way than the mystic way!

A couple of tips: exfoliate for about a week prior to going and moisturize your elbows, hands, feet, knees, etc.; shower before going and touch up at home with self tanner lotion, speak with a tan consultant and they can give you even more tips on standing poses, etc. for the best tan.

Best Wishes,

D.

OK R....please don't do it! I did Mystic Tanning the day before my brother's wedding, in which I was a bridesmaid, and I was completely orange! I ruined all of their pictures because I looked like such a freak! It was really sad and pretty embarrassing!
I love being tan, but I hate skin cancer, so I'm always looking for ways to be "tan" without the sun. I represent Arbonne International, and we carry a product called "Made In the Shade" self-tanner with SPF 15. Now, I have been working a business with Arbonne for a year now, and I had not tried this particular product because I was scared that I would be orange! But, my friend who lives in Seattle, was telling me how much she loves this product, so I decided to give it a try. It's awesome! It's the absolute best self-tanner I have ever used, and I think I've tried most of them! If you're intersted, you can check out my website at: www.mandyolsen.myarbonne.com or www.arbonne.com. I'd be happy to let you try some for yourself too before you buy. Just let me know! Good luck!
Sincerely,
M. O.

I LOVE Mystic tanning!!I am very fair skinned and cannot get a traditional tan. Mystic tanning is my saving grace. I have done it at Planet Tan and Palm Beach Tan. Put lots of lotion on any dry skin parts (like your elbows and ankles and hands.) I think is makes all the difference for me in the summer. Body Wrap Shop has air brush tanning and it works great too. (it costs a little bit more) A person sprays you and it's not as cold as the mystic tanning booth. I think you should try it, at least once. If you dont like it, the color will all be gone in a week. If you do, you can maintain it by going once a week. Good luck!

I did it and wouldn't do it again. I agree with the response that the booth is cold and not enjoyable but it doesn't take long. I did it before a trip to Vegas w/some girlfriends and first the color was terrible (it was orange) then a day after we got there it started peeling off. So to make things worse I had these patches of white and orange.

I didn't really like it. you are sprayed everywhere with the "mist" (paint, lol) including in your face, but you don't want to breathe it in. so you're holding your breath & closing your eyes, it's cold and to me it was NOT fun. I did it twice while I was living in FL since everyone else was so tan and pretty..... nope I think I'd rather be white. :o)

The color part of it was good though, just the couple of minutes in the booth was hard for me. If you can get through the being sprayed part, I did like the results.

I enjoyed it. You have to exfolliate before you go do it though and it takes a couple of tries to get it exactly perfect.

It is a pain holding your breath and all of that, but tanning every other day for 2 weeks sucks more, so I like the 15 seconds and your done for 2 weeks thing.

I am very fair skinned & for some reason it did not seem to make any difference on me, I even went for a second treatment the next day, still no tan. They said wait 12 hours or so, so I woke up the next morning and asked my hubby "am I tanned yet" nope, weird hah?

This is a very hot topic here... I would strongly suggest it!!! I've worked for that company in the past and am still in the tanning industry! Its quick, easy, affordable, and has recently been improved! Go to any Palm Beach Tan store and ask for details. Have them show you the booth and watch the video, so you can get a better feel for it all!

Let me know if you have specific questions as well, I'd be happy to help! I currently work for the Palm Beach Tan corporate office so am a great source! Check it all out at www.palmbeachtan.com
