Need a recommendation for a multivitamin and probiotic powder that can be mixed into a drink. My 2 year old has gotten wise to vitamins and will not drink something that tastes "medicine-y". Must also be GFCF. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I have a 3 year old client who is autistic. His mom asked the same question. She started him on this www.BestBreakfastEver.com. She mixes it with water and calls it his "special milk". He loves it.

PS: this breakfast shake is for everyone, kids, moms and dads!

Kirkman Labs is a great place to go for most of your supplements and they all fit the criteria - they have a huge autism community and gear their products, sizes and tastes to the kids.

I am so excited that you are going on the GFCF diet! I am a speech pathologist and feeding therapist specializing in GFCF diets and how to get children over to the diet safely without loosing nutrition. I endorse Juice Plus, which you can open the capsules and put into a smoothie. They also have gummies and it is GFCF. I also endorse New Beginnings products which are mostly GFCF, and taste great. You can check out my websites at: www.SwallowJuicePlus.com or www.SpectrumSpeech.com. Good luck!!

I take Metagenics Ultra Clear Plus Ph. I am sure they make a kids product. My Integrative Specialist (trained MD also trained in Holistic Medicine) recommends this for my Fibromyalgia.

I also have to eat GF/CF and their products work well for me.

For probiotics I give my kids (ages 5 and 3) Animal Parade AcidophiKidz. It's a chewable. I used to give them the Infant's Probiotics powder from Udo's choice when they were younger. Just put it right into their juice. If you are doing the metagenics shake, you can put it right in it.

For vitamins and Fatty Essential Oils, I give my kids Yummy Bears products. My daughter also has to eat GF, so I know for sure that their products are GF/CF. They love it because they think they are eating regular gummi bears :).

check out Dr. Mercola's website. He has that kind of stuff I think. He also has some special diet for autistic kids. I like his newsletters, very informative. You might have to search around a bit on his website to find the info you are looking for.

I'm not sure about the vitamins, but there is a probiotic that is in a capsule that you can open and dump in to something like applesauce. A doctor recommended it when my daughter was on antibiotics. I can't remember the name, but it comes in a box (blister pack inside) rather than a bottle. I got it at Walgreens, so you might just ask a pharmacist at the drug store. It was pricey but the only one my doc trusted to actually have all of the good stuff in it. :) Hope that helps. I wish my brain wasn't so foggy!

Would he chew a soft chew that might be viewed by him as "candy". I rep Juice Plus and have seen fantastic results for autistic children. We also have capules with fine fruit and vegetable powder inside that you could open and mix into a drink. Feel free to call me to discuss ways we could get these fruits and vegetable micronutrients in him at ###-###-####. What is so much more powerful than a multivitamin is the fact that Juice Plus is actually concentrated fresh, raw fruits and vegetables, natural nutrients, instead of a manmade multivitamin. You can check it out at wethriveonjuiceplus.com.

my 2.5 yr old uses Metagenics vitamins. They come in liquid form and I put 1ML of the vitamin into his juice every day and that gives him 100-200% of the vitamins he needs. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=metagenics+multi...#

Udo's Choice has a powdered probiotic that I give our son that can be mixed with any liquid or food. It has no funny taste. It can be found in the refrigerated section of most health food stores.

Nordic Naturals Nordicberries for multivitamin. My kids love them. Can't help you with the probiotics, unfortunately...
