I just got back from watching The Help - what a great movie!!! I laughed and I cried...really liked it!!!

I saw Horrible Bosses a few weeks ago - raunchy humor - but totally funny!!!

Any good movies you can recommend?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I don't know why people are bashing the movie - I never got to read the book - but I'll be going to the library to borrow it.

The acting is GREAT!!! It really was a good movie!! I laughed and I cried...Emma Stone and Viola (sorry can't remember her last name) are GREAT!!!

I like all types of movies...mystery, romance, drama - I love comedy most because I love to laugh!!!

Thanks for the info on Cowboys and Aliens - Bob and I were seriously thinking about this one to take our boys to the matinee!!!

The Help os one of the best movies I have ever seen. My sband daughter and I listened to the book last year so we went right away.. The acting is excellent and the costumes are spot on..

The people bashing it are bashing the subject. Yjeu feel it just brings up bad feelings. One reviewer said it was "White Guilt".. Give me a break..

It is part of The US history and the Jim Crow laws really existed... So many people in their 40s and younger have no idea how bad it really was.. This movie show it perfectly..

I've heard nothing but great things about "The Help". Theaters by me are still having sold out shows. I thought it was an excellent adaptation of the book.

Our two favorite movies that we can see over and over are Snatch (not for kids) and The Man Who Knew Too Little (not for young kids).

Oh good, I'll go see The Help then. I loved the book, but everyone's been bashing the movie.

No good ideas here, haven't seen a movie in a while.

I actually thought Captain America was really good. :)

Not sure if it is still at the theaters though. We haven't been to movies out much lately. We get so many good ones thru Netflix... I could recommend some from there... but they are long gone from the theaters...

ETA: since you like comedies-- if you haven't seen Date Night (Steve Carell) then you need to see that. It is great! We weren't expecting much (toss up between watching that and whatever the other movie was starting at that same time) and we laughed and laughed and laughed.

My mom and dad saw The Help and said they liked it a lot too.

My husband's favorite movies include Gran Torino and Secondhand Lions (basically the one-liners are great. I can forsee what my husband will be like if be becomes the old man widow).

I love Boondock Saints myself. I liked the Lincoln Lawyer I got on netflix last week. Limitless is sitting here waiting for us to watch. We weren't huge fans of SourceCode, but it wasn't tooo bad of a movie.

@Cheryl -- thanks for this question. i am adding movies to my netflix queue as answers come in! (In 4 years of marriage plus one year of dating, I've been to the theater once with my husband, once with my parents, and once with my son --- 3 times in 4 years! So doubtful I'll make some of these movies until they come out on DVD. BTW - mom and dad said that Bridesmaids was better than the Hangover. So that one is a must-see.
