I agree re: It's Complicated.

Also, have you seen Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with Steve Martin? It's not a slapstick, but there are a couple scenes that still bring tears to my eyes from laughing so hard, even after watching it 6+ times.

Didn't read ALL the posts but didn't see one of our favorites.....it's a PG movie unlike some of the others but Galaxy Quest makes me belly laugh EVERY time I see it. Justin Long was a kid...Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman....

I like some mentioned already, yet absolutely felt I wasted an hour and a half of my life when I watched Nacho Libre (recommended by a friend who loved it - to each his own).

But not mentioned yet that I laugh with: SecondHand Lions, Gran Tornio (both movies are emotional, but the characters themselves have snappy comebacks and interesting personality).

If all else fails, turn on Funniest Home Videos. My husband, myself, and my two year old laugh the most together watching the show.

LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE!

Planes, trains and automobiles with John Candy and Steve Martin is a classic. If you need a good laugh check out http://awkwardfamilyphotos.com/ - photos people have submitted of family, kids, etc. that are just BAD - with hilarious captions. I looked at this this a.m. and literally was at my computer laughing until I cried!

We love The Wedding Singer, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Home Fries, The Long, Long Trailer (with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz), Pillow Talk with Doris Day and Rock Hudson.
I don't know if you can rent him on DVD, but Jim Gaffigan is an absulutely hilarious comedian and he's not dirty either. He's on Comedy Central a lot and we laugh our heads off everytime we watch him.

Laughter is good for the soul.
I hope you get some great responses.

I agree with alot of these. Anchor man, any Adam Sandler movie, The Hangover, but you gotta see "I love you Man"

Try "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo". I especially like the reactions and facial expressions of Deuce when he discovers who his date is. Then it's very sweet the way he makes them feel good about themselves.

The Hangover, Talladega Nights, Knocked Up, Joe Dirt, She's out of my league, Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead (although british humour isn't for everyone). =)

Okay, here's my favorite..... Mighty Aphrodite. It's a Woody Allen movie and the one that Mira Sorvino won her Oscar for, I think, in 1996. Her character has a fair amount of four-letter words in it, but not because she is a foul-mouthed woman just to swear. But she literally doesn't know any better. She is a big-hearted adult film actor who may possibly be the mother of the son that Woody Allen's character adopts with his wife, played by Helena Bonham Carter. The scene where these two meet is hysterical ("refund!" "refund!"). The rest of the movie has a bunch of funny stuff in it as well.

I actually used part of that movie for a dialect final in college (I was a theatre major). You'll recognize it if you see it, but it was the scene about the "onion farmer". Just picture it with a Swedish accent. Fun, fun, fun!

Happy laughing!

Anything with Tyler Perry as Madea (hilarious)

The Hangover (raunchy but so HILARIOUS)

Old School
Wedding Crashers
Couples Retreat
Borat
Nations Lampoon's Vacation

Its an old movie but had won oscar award or nomations..."Beautiful Life"...

Step Brothers with Will Ferrell it's hysterical.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
And as many have metioned, The Hangover!

While You Were Sleeping
Get Shorty
Be Cool
Coming to America

I cant think of any more right now. I will respond again when I do.

So I Married an Axe Murderer w/ Mike Meyers - old but funny and shot in SF. It's a romantic comedy believe it or not.
My Cousin Vinney
The Proposal
The Whole 9 Yards
And I love all of John Cusak's comedies - I have a dark sense of humor.

Tommy Boy, my favorite!, w/ Chris Farley & David Spade
And I agree with;
Old School
It's Complicated
40 yr old Virgin
Meet the Fockers
Billy Madison
Dumb and Dumber
Superbad

Here are some of my favorites:

Catch Me If You Can (Leonardo)
How to lose a guy in 10 days
Cast Away
Fried Green Tomatoes
Princess Bride
Men In Black, Men In Black 2, 3
Robin Hood Men in Tights
The Italian Job
Ocean's 11, Ocean's 12, Ocean's 13
Patch Adams
Ever After (more of a drama but still good)
Secondhand Lions (starts slow but has some really funny moments)
Always
Meet the Fockers
Bandits
8 Heads in a Dufflebag
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Oscar (sylvester stallone- very unique, funny movie- can't watch it only once!)
Sweet Home Alabama (more of a drama, but still very funny)
The Blues Brothers (hubby's favorite)
Sneakers

Our favorite comedian DVD's:
Jeff Dunham- Spark of Insanity
Jeff Dunham- Arguing with Myself

Along the lines of funniest home videos - check out Tosh.O on the tv. Can't remember the channel, but it's the youtube version of Funniest Home Video. I don't know what it is about this guy, but he's the only person I know of that can make these youtube videos funny. Enjoy!

Another vote for 'I Love You Man'. So funny.

Juno
Best in Show

Also from my list of all time favorite movies...
Blazing Saddles
The Full Monty

Superbad was pretty funny. Spinal Tap is hilarious (as well as most of those Christopher Guest mockumentary movies). I also love anything with Ben Stiller (especially Dodgeball, for some reason, it cracks me up). You've gotten some really good suggestions already - I haven't seen all of them, so now I also have a list of movies to check out. Thanks for the question!

I can laugh myself to tears with Kung-Fu Hustle, Its chinese, and its the definition of funny. Have you watched get smart or date night with steve carrell and Tina Fey, Baby Mama is really good too.

Undercover Brother
Tropic Thunder
Oh Brother Where Art Thou
40 Year Old Virgin
Knocked Up

I like:

Date Night
The Water Boy
The Wedding Singer
Big Daddy
You Don't Mess with the Zohan
It's Complicated
The Proposal

Wish I could think of more but I'm more of a sci-fi nerd so I don't usually venture into comedies, that's why it's hard to recall the few I may have seen, lol...

Dodgeball cracks me up every time. I also love to watch Psych, it's a tv show but hilarious about a guy who's a fake psychic detective.

I work at a movie rental store... the Hangover is EXTREMELY popular... and It's Complicated is really funny IMO. :)

Most definitely: The British version of The Office is hilarious. Ricky Gervais is the master of comedy as David Brent and so is MacKenzie Crook as Gareth. If I ever need a pick me up, I put in The Office dvd. Also, I like The Birdcage, Mixed Nuts, The Ref, Home Alone, and Meet the Fockers.

Son In Law
Elf (can watch this at any time of the year!)
Enchanted

The Pink Panther Strikes Back!

The Hangover
Dumb and Dumber
Blazing Saddles
Anchorman
Meet the Browns

My faves!!

Ghost Town is awesome! I crack up every time! Also, Office Space, Bridget Jones's Diary, and (it's a christmas one but so funny!) is Scrooged.

Billy Madison...i love adam sandler :)

My all time silly favorite is Drop Dead Fred!

Have you seen the Hangover????Let me know if it burst your ribs like it did mine.

Couples Retreat and I Love You Man are both hilarious. Also liked Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Another route: I like reruns of Seinfeld, Friends, Gilmore Girls etc. Oldies but goodies....

Dick and Jane with Jim Carrey, so funny!!!!

The Pineapple Express, The Hangover, Zombieland, The Boondock Saints, Funny People...

Ahhh, I forgot about Dick and Jane, with Jim Carrey...when they steal the grass...oh my goodness, that scene is hilarious!

Happy Laughing!

We also like Dodgeball, but truly one of our favorite comedies is Idiocracy with Luke Wilson. Soooooooo hilariously funny (but not appropriate for the kids!) and it gets better every time you watch it.

We also get a kick out of Yesman with Jim Carrey. Even the kids liked that one!

Planes, trains, and automobiles is a great one. The 40 year old virgin is absolutely hilarious as well.

"As Good As It Gets"
Diane K. and Jack N. Adult sex in the new century. Laugh til you pee.

"Something's Gotta Give" Meryl, Alec, Steve.
Wear depends.

I didn't read through the last posts...so if I am repeating, I'm sorry
