Hi

I am looking for a good Montessori school for my 2-year-old. I have read a lot about their teaching method and would like to enroll my son in a program 2-3 days a week. Any recommendations in Detroit-Royal Oak-Eastpointe areas?

Thanks!

My granddaughter is in a new Royal Oak charter Montessori school, 2nd grade, and loves it. They have a preschool too. You could call Royal Oak Schools for the name and number - I can't think of the name. This is their first year.

Hi, I don't know of schools in your area but I would recommend you to browse http://www.montessori.edu/ or http://www.amshq.org/ . This will help you find schools that are truly certified to be Montessori schools in your area. Be aware of schools that carry the Montessori name but have no teachers with actual certification. At least the school director should have the right credentials. My daughter went to a Montessori School in Chicago and I cannot find enough words to express how wonderful this system worked for her. Hope this helps and good luck!
