I would like to know a good dance studio that worked for your teenager when they were about 16 living around Redwood City. Thanks for the help!

Hi K.,
I'm not sure what style of dance your're looking for & its kinda far to go but Westlake School for the Perorming Arts, in Daly City is an amamzing school!!! They offer all types of dance from Ballet to Polynesian. Their Hip-Hop & Ballet & Polynesian
programs are especially strong!!! If you want REALLY great training it's worth the drive!! Good Luck!! A.

Hi K.,

I own a dance supply store in San Bruno. I have several schools I can refer your daughter too, but I need to know which forms of dance she is interested in and if she has any experience. You can either e-mail me back or call the store;

I always recommend you do trial classes before signing up with any schools to make sure that it is a good match before you invest too much money. There are also a lot of good summer programs you can try coming up pretty soon.

My girls have gone to
dance mode (san carlos industral near holly),
studio s (downtown, RWC) and nearby at
menlo dance ( menlo park on El camino rl)
all are fine. dance mode has a website with class listings
and Menlo will let her "visit" a class for free to see if she likes the teacher and other kids.
Have fun!

Alright I guess my question is how far are you willing to travel? Only because I know of a dance studio in San Bruno, where I used to dance. In fact the owner had worked with me since i was 5 years old and I had quit dancing wheni was about 21 yrs old Due to sports injury, But if you are willing to travel there the place is called Bob Mackie Dance Company, He's a great instructor and he also had a few other dance instructors that work with him. In fact when ,y daughter gets a little older I going to place her there as well. If I'm not mistaken they teach Tap, Jazz, & Ballet, but check them out. He's a wonderful instructor. Not to mention that the instructors there are pretty laid back into letting the students have fun with what they have learned especially when they do performances once a year. it's not uptight like most dance studios like Schumackers or anything like that. But you should give them a try.
