Honestly, not sure about this one ... but here is what I would do were I you ... document how often and see if you can get a temp on his legs with one of those forehead strips (take temp when it's normal for comparison) ... talk to the pedi about what is going on and what patterns you have/have not found. Maybe one of the moms on here will have more for you but this is what I tend to do when something odd is going on but I can not find a quick/easy answer. Document any other odd symptoms along with diet/waste patterns.

I've seriously never heard of this. Bring your concerns to your pediatrician's attention.

Does it seem to hurt her? My almost 8 month old daughter had this happen a couple of times( redness, pain, heat, all in her legs) before i took her to the doctor. The pedi said that she had poor circulation in her legs so she told me to start massaging her legs when she got up in the mornings and before she went to sleep at night. I started doing this and after a couple days it didnt happen so much and then it went away!!! I would try this but also go to ur pedi as well just in case this isnt the problem! Good Luck ad God Bless!

My gut response is to make sure that her diaper isn't too tight around her legs.... :-)

My 2nd gut response is cellulitis.

I would mention it to your pediatrician.

My daughter had eczema on the back of her legs that would get worse after a warm bath and in dry seasons (winter with forced hot air heating). We used GoldBond cream and that seems to work for her. She is now 11 and seems to have grown out of it.
