Moderate-priced Children's Photographer - No Cheeseball Photos!

I am looking to have pictures of my 1 year old and 4 year old taken. I am looking for a photographer who delivers a clean, spare look in black & white. I love what they do at smirk in St. Louis Park (see www.smirkphoto.com), but can't afford their pricing. Does anyone know of a photographer who has a similar look and feel to smirk, but at more reasonable prices? I don't want any weird backgrounds or to have the pictures color-tinted or anything - just great, clean, crisp black and white photos.

What can I do next?

We've used a couple photographers and have been relatively happy with them. They did both color and black and white, and the black and whites are my favorite! Timelessimagephotography.com is one. She actually comes to a kids store in Maple Grove and does reduced price sessions there sometimes, which is where we had our pictures done. We also used michaelbkids.com He came to our home and his work was absolutely beautiful. I just checked his website and it does not seem to be working right though.

Another idea that I looked into but have not used yet is www.wendyweiman.com

Good luck!

Pricing depends upon what you are looking for. To get a professional photographer to do great shots it does cost. I have heard this gal is good - http://home.earthlink.net/~candidmoments/

You could try candice brumm she does photos in her home studio or she will go on location as well she gives you all the proofs and a cd with the pictures and does not copy right them so you can print all of the prints you want her website is cbrummphotography.com
She lives in Lino Lakes but is a great person.

I like John Ballew's photos. His private studio is located in Crystal on 36th Ave, and pricing may seem to you reasonable. You can find his address and phone on the web as well.

Good luck.
