That has happened to me twice...except I went months and months and months without one and wound up pregnant the next year. LOL

Anyway, sometimes this is due to hormone changes or hormone problems. Could also be to diet change and weight gain. If it's hormones, you could try an herbal formula called Hormonal Changease. You can find it at www.herbsfirst.com.

Just in case you didn't, make sure you take the PG test first thing in the AM without drinking anything since the night before.
Also, there are a lot of things that can cause delayed ovulation, such as stress or excessive exercise.

Blessings to you,
S.

When I was trying to get pregnant with my second child. I missed my period and took a store bought preg test. It came back neg. I went to the dr and he gave me a preg test. Still neg. So he gave me some med to make the period come. Still no period. He did an ultrasound and I was pregnant. So I would go to the doctor and have it checked out.

Are you taking any new medications? Have you dealt with something very stressful in your personal or professional life? Been traveling? had an illness recently? Ok if you haven't had anything like what I mentioned and you preg test are neg then I would say if it was me I'd call my doctor and make an appt within the next two weeks. Have you had your normal check ups? maybe it's a good time to do so. I'd say wait and have the appt about 2 weeks from now giving yourself time to see if you do have your period. Try your best not to get so stressed over missing a period and worry sometimes there is o real reason, I too have always had my period except when preg or a few times when I was very ill and in the hospital. My personal rule is if I go over 60 days and now period it's time to call, it's not normal for me. I don't skip or miss for no reason. Well, the few times it happened I reviewed with my doctor and the hospital stays and being ill was my cause since everything checked out fine.

Hi M.,
Just be sure you are taking your test with your first urine in the morning. It is more concentrated and should show positive if pregnant. If you have not tried this, that is my first advice...other urine throughout the day can show a false negative. Best of luck to you!

I agree with some of the other women that you should be sure to take a home pregnancy test first thing in the morning (the very first time you go). The hormone the test is looking for will be at it's peak at that time. It's also possible that if you're taking it later in the day and have had a lot to drink, the urine could be diluted enough to cover up the hormone. If you take one first thing in the morning, it comes back negative and you still feel something isn't right, I would call your doctor and schedule a blood pregnancy test. That's the only "real" way to know. Good luck!

Have you ever seen the show about women who didn't know they were pregnant? Most of them took pregnancy tests early on and they showed up negative, so they assumed they were not pregnant, then had a big surprise when the baby came out! So I would recommend taking it again in a few weeks.

I would go in to the doctor for a pregnancy test there too. They're more accurate than that the store-bought "pee sticks". If nothing else, the doctor can help you find out what's causing you not to get your period. If you're used to a regular cycle, a missed period can be pretty disconcerting! Sorry I don't have a great answer like "oh eat more bananas and the period will come" but, honestly, I'd have it/myself checked out.
