Mirena IUD Removal

I also had the Mirena IUD removed and it took less then a year to concieve and I now have a 3 week old baby boy. And that was without even trying!! Good luck!

I don't know about the getting pregnant again part. I went back on the pill after my Mirena expired. But, I did want to let you know that the removal did not hurt a bit. It was a relief to me because the insertion really hurt even though they say it isn't suppose to.

The removal was quick and painless -- way easier than when they put it in! I had mine for a year and was pregnant 3 cycles after it was removed and had a totally normal pregnancy.

I had my mirena for a year and a half (June 2006 to January 2008). We didn't try too hard to get pregnant. Once my husband was around we got confirmation within 6 months. Our baby was born on April 1st of this year.

Overall I was satisfied with mirena and our conception progress!

I had mine for around 2 years. And once I had it removed I did not try to get pregnant for a couple months. But when I did try I got pregnant right away (about 4 months later.)

Like the others said the removal was just a bit uncomfortable.

I was happy with Mirena IUD.

What a relief to have mine removed! I felt completely normal the next day. I got pregnant 2 mos later.

I had mine inserted in May of 2005 and removed on March 29, 2008. I concieved on April 30, 2008 and my little one was born on December 21, 2008 (he was very eager to come into this world!). I love the Mirena IUD and had another one inserted 3 weeks ago after the birth of my son (now 4 months old). I'm not sure how long we'll wait until we have our next child; however, I loved the Mirena so much, I've recommended it for all of my friends. The removal was virtually painless, less pain than stubbing your toe (and I have NO pain tolerance).

I was mildly crampy for a day. I got pregnant the very next cycle and am holding my 2 month old in my arms right now!

I had the Mirena for just under 2 years. I had it removed in December of 05 and was not able to get pregnant until October of 07, so just about 2 years of actively trying before finally getting pregnant again.

In comparison I got pregnant with #1 after a month of trying (no previous BC methods) and got pregnant with #3 after an oops when my daughter was 7 months old (only using withdrawal method.. I'm due in October)

My doctor seems to think the Mirena had something to do with my problems TTC #2. I was temping and charting and doing everything else I was supposed to when trying to get pregnant, and it just took a LOT longer than I was expecting. Instead of kids 2 or 3 years apart like I had planned they ended up being 4 1/2 years apart!! (but as it turns out the age gap was perfect! :))

The removal if the IUD was not painful, just a little uncomfortable. Insertion was a lot worse! I was just glad to get that thing out of my body!!

Removal is not painful. I had mine removed because it gave me chronic yeast infections,so I'm not sure about how long it would take to get pg. I have not tried to.
