Medifast

Has anyone tried Medifast? What did you like or dislike about the program. My 20 year highschool reunion is 2 months away and I would like to lose about a little bit of weight.

Hi S. -
I tried it, and still have over half the food sitting in a box in my kitchen. I can't eat it at all. I agree with the comment about the shakes, they are about the only decent thing. Although, the pudding isn't so bad if you freeze it, and the smores bars are ok too. The soups and chili are YUCK!
I know a lot of people that have lost weight with Medifast, but I'm not one of them. I'll be happy to sell you my food for 50% of what I paid if you want to at least try before you buy.

My husband and I tried Medifast for the same reason as you...trying to get ready for our respective 20th high school reunions. Yuck! Their food tasted awful. The only thing that was half way decent were the shakes and you cannot sustain your day on shakes alone! Try anything but this program.

We did the 6 week makeover and it is really working well for us. Cheaper and you are able to eat regular food with seasoning.

Try Herbalife. I lost 3 pounds and 3 inches in the first 3 days. There are amazing weight loss stories. You can achieve what you want with this and you won't be hungry.

My MIL just started Medifast; I don't know how it's going to work for her but we are wishing her well.
If you want a cheaper alternative read my story:
When I was trying to lose some of my after baby left overs, I tried the Special K diet. Just follow the directions on the box. I lost 10 lbs the first 2 weeks and an average of 3lbs per week for about 6 weeks before I got tired of it. The first week I was really hungry and thought there was no way I could do it if it made feel like I was starving but by the second week my body got used to it and my stomach was happy after each bowl. By week 3 I cheated a little, for my second bowl, I would eat cheese and low fat trisquits in a small quantity just to vary it up but overall I was very successful and I haven't gained it back, nor have I continued to diet. It was really helpful with the extra baby weight that just didn't seem to be going anywhere. I had gained 60 lbs with my pregnancy and only lost 12 during the delivery. By the time my daughter was 4 months old, I realized it wasn't going anywhere, I had never dieted before, and the Special K worked for me. I now only need to lose 6lbs to be back to my prebaby weight and she is 11 months old. I'm 32, I rarely work out, and I weigh 119. I might try it again just to see if I can shed the last 6lbs but over all I'm happy where I am.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

i am actually going to be starting at the arlington location...have heard great things
