Mary Kay Eye Makeup Remover

Anyone know what ingredients are in this eye makeup remover? It makes my eyelids break out like crazy so obviously I can't use it. I need to find something that won't make me break out and very easy to the eyes. Because of the break out, my eyelids have become very sensitive. I have been using water to wipe off the makeup, but doesn't do the best job. Looking for other ideas? Thanks.

What can I do next?

Sorry if this is a duplicate but I use plain old baby oil to remove my make up then wash my face. Seems to do a great job even on waterproof mascara.

You can try mineral oil. It's fragrance free. It works well. I have sensitive eyes too.
I used to have some stuff by Adrien Arpel. It was called Lemon Meltdown or something like that. It's a type of cold cream and it takes everything off and makes your skin feel so nice. It didn't bother my eyes either.
I would try the mineral oil though. You can also use it for other things.

Best wishes.

Not sure whats inside it but most of that type stuff has fragrance & dyes/ coloring. I can't use anything with that stuff in it breaks me out in rashes. I use cetaphil, I close my eyes & put it all over my face & eye lashes rub it really good over the eye lash area, then rinse & repeat once more. It does the job for me, it's hypoallergenic, dye/fragrance free, & super easy on the skin, it's soft enough for baby's. When I got pink eye twice last year I rinsed my eye out with it & it didn't burn or anything. Otherwise I'd suggest going to a whole foods/natural health store & looking for something with no dyes or perfumes & harsh chemicals in it. My sis got a makeup remover w.o any of that in it from Henry's (a natural foods store) it worked great & she has worse skin problems then me, I'll have to ask her what it was. Hope you find something!

I am a MK consultant, are you washing your face right afterwards? The reason I ask is that I have a customer whose eyes lids also breaking out but she was not following up using the product with washing her face.

Mary Kay, the company in Texas, should be able to provide you with the ingredient list. However, regardless of whichever eye makeup remover you use, you should then use a gentle face wash with a soft washcloth and warm water to remove the other makeup and residue of the eye makeup remover. Then follow up with a toner, and a light moisturizer. I skipped that last step for years and now I have crepe-y eyelids to show for it. :(

Always remember, you are beautiful!

I have used Pond's cold cream for decades since I use waterproof mascara. My eyes tear in cold weather, in bright light, etc. so I need waterproof mascara (I buy the Avon Wash Off Waterproof when it goes on sale for $1.99 each and I buy 12 at a time to last me a year since I have to wipe off the wand before applying or I end up with raccoon eyes). I slop on a liberal amount of cold cream (called that because people used to keep it in the fridge believing that the cooling had wrinkle fighting effects) and with a soft tissue or even wet baby wipe, gently wipe the make-up off. It does a superb job, and afterward I was my face with Cetaphyl (or actually the CVS version of it, much cheaper and seems identical to me) gentle face wash. My dermatologist recommended Moisturel lotion, available at CVS in a 10 oz bottle (or thereabouts) for about $12 (no generic that I know of). Or I use the CVS version of Nivea Soft which is a much heavier cream that I need in winter since my skin is ultra dry. Good luck.

I liked the Almay Hypoallergenic eye-makeup remover pads. I think they sell bottles of the remover, too, that you can apply yourself. I don't wear much make-up now, so I don't know if they still make it, but it was very gegntle when other products irritated me.

I'm not a makeup expert, but I know Cetaphil makes some facial cleansers. Their soaps and lotions are so mild they are proven to not make you break out as well as being usable for infants.

I special order the Extra Emollient Cleansing Creme to take off my make up. It is a special order because they don't promote it anymore. It is a clear gel that melts on contact with the skin. I have never had any issues with it and I am allergic to nearly everything they make now.

I used to use plain old baby oil. I would put it on and then I would wipe it off then wash my face to get the excess off.

I started using Mary Kay in High School and haven't used any other. I love the whole glamor line but don't use the skin care stuff due to skin irritation.

Contact your consultant you purchased it from. She can give you a list of ingredients. If you can't get it from her, PM me and I'll send it over to you.

Not sure but I can guess it may have Mineral Oil (which is cheap to use so most cosmetics have it in them) or artificial colors or dyes. I suggest Arbonne's ALL Natural products. Honestly since there is no Mineral Oil or Animal products in any of the products removing make up is easy I just use water and my Arbonne facial cleanser and it is gone. PM me if you would like to try a sample.
