MAC Makeup or Pur Minerals?

I used to use Bare Minerals loose powder foundation, but it seemed 'cakey' so I switched to Pur Minerals pressed powder foundation and I love it. I recently got a makeup done by MAC cosmetics and I liked the way their foundation looked on my face, but it's liquid. I have not used liquid in years, but I really liked the coverage. I have very mild adult acne that will flare up with certain things so keep that in mind.

My question is who uses MAC liquid foundation and do you like it? Have you tried minerals before? Do you have adult acne that flares up with certain makeup products on your face?
I need advice! I am planning on buying Saturday so answer fast, please! :)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I am probably going to give Bare Minerals another try. Because our skin needs a break or changing up of cleansers, moisturizers and foundations from time to time. If it still gives me the same problems, I will switch back to Pur Minerals.

I have tried Mary Kay before and it was horrible for my skin, but thanks for trying to sell it to me.
I tried Arbonne's acne line and it made it worse, but never tried there makeup. Not interested though. Again, thanks for the suggestion there too.

But, I wasn't asking for you to sell me your product. I simply was asking between 2 different products.

I vote for Pur Minerals because it has no chemicals. Why is this important? Because your skin is like a big sponge and almost everything you put on it goes right into your body. -To the detriment of your health.

Your body doesn't known what to do with these chemicals, so store much of them in body fat, marking storage cells as 'bad' and making it 1) easier to gain weight, and 2)harder to lose it.

Over time your body stores up so much chemicals yet it still has to handle more daily, placing your body in chemical overload. The symptoms of chemical overload can be as mild as immunity deficiencies (get sick a lot) to severe much like lupus symptoms (severe fatigue etc), or any point between.

Burts Bees has some great information on chemicals on their website.

You're already doing something good for your body; don't change it.

Hi M.:
I am also a Mary Kay consultant...but I am not trying to sell you anything. I just wanted to suggest that maybe you should try using a toner before you put any foundation on your face. Always be sure to use a good cleanser, that cleans deep, a toner, and a moisturizer...and then your foundation.
You need to use a really good deep cleanser...not just a regular cleanser when you have adult acne. Just read on the tube and make sure it says it is for combination to oily skin.
I hope this helps.
Good luck,
G.

Hi!
I hope this isn't too late. I can't answer your question directly but I too have adult acne flare ups so I used an oil free liquid foundation. I like the coverage - I think the MAC is fine - just check that it is oil free. I use Bobbie Brown oil free liquid foundation. I used to use the MAC liquid but didn't like the smell :) I am sure they have changed formulas since then - it was about 15 years ago! Good luck! I love getting new make-up.

I would recommend the mineral make-up. I used to use Bare Escentuals, then I found Arbonne. It is wonderful and the coverage is better and sooo natural. Also Arbonne products are botanically based, so they are Pure, Safe and Beneficial. All the products are Ph Correct, Hypoallergenic, Never tested on animals, No animal by-products, No Mineral Oil, No dyes or frangrances, and dermotologist tested. The products are absolutely amazing. You had mentioned acne. Arbonne has a line called Clear Advantage. When used with the acne spot treatment, you can expect to see skin clear up within 3 Days, now that is awesome!! We also give a 45 day money back guarentee! I would love to go on about how beneficial these products are, but I won't. If you would like to know more, please feel free to call me anytime.
