What Brand Makeup Do You Use?

Has anyone tried Lancome makeup? I'm currently using Mac foundation and I like how the color matches my skin; however, it seems to be really cakey when I wear it and it is so obvious that I'm wearing foundation. I tried Clinque but it was too dark for me. I have very fair skin and have a hard time matching my skin tone. Any other good brands out there?

I've used Bare Minerals for years and love it! I'm pretty fair and always had a hard time finding the right color, but Bare Minerals is great and helps my acne too.

Bare Minerals. Started with it 11 years ago and never looked back.

Go to a salon, etc who has it and have them try it on you. You'll be AMAZED.

I aslo use Bare Escentuals. I have been using it for a long time. It does not look like you are wearing any make-up. I have also heard that this make-up is great for women who break-out.

Love my bare minerals. I am not a bog foundation person, I don't like the way it makes my face feel. Bare minerals is nice cause its light, powder, but covers all your imperfections. And you can get it to match any skin tone. Highly recommend. And if you guy it at Sephora, if you don't like it you can return it.

I use Clinique. They have a huge selection with many different types of makeup. I use minimal foundation and loose powder.

In the summer I use the tinted moisturizer.

The products are guaranteed and are dermatologist recommended. I love Clinique.

I have fair skin also, and I use Mary Kay. I don't have any problems, with what you described with yours. It feels very light and clean on my face also.

I really like my Mary Kay. It has so many different tones, and several different formula types for different coverage and sin types. Mines stays on all day and is light--never feels heavy or cakey.

I really, really love Mary Kay and the entire line of skin and body products, not just the make-up. If you have a rep in your area you should talk to her and ask about the products. Everything is gentle and hypo-allergenic. They have a very wide range of shades and can match any skin color.

Estee Lauder has a foundation color that is the lightest. It's literally called - Paper. I dont wear it anymore. I realized that my skin wasnt actually as light as i thought it was! It's a good deal if you buy it during free gift because it lasts a long time.

I suggest that you find someone at the Clinique counter and ask her to find your *best* shade for you. Tell her that what you had before was too dark and you need a more accurate shade. She'll do it, but you have to ask or nobody will know you need it.

I have used Clinique makeup for years, and last week I discovered to my sadness that my long-time makeup wasn't made any more. I had to go through the process over again. It took the gal about fifteen minutes (lots of testing and double-checking), but she found the shade that was right for me in what is now available. It was worth the time.

I love my Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals. I've been using Bare Escentuals for over 5 yrs. I also use sunscreen by Philosophy they are make a really nice tinted moisturizer. I had also considered using/trying smashbox & urban decay. I switched when my makeup started looking like I was wearing makeup.

I used Youngblood for a few years and then switched to Origins. I love Origins products and have no desire to switch. The products are gentle, easy to apply and remove, and use more plant based ingredients and less harsh chemicals. Origins stores are in many malls and they offer free mini facials from time to time. They will also match products to your skin tone and needs right there in the store before buying them. They have a really nice return policy also in case the product is not for you. Check them out at www.origins.com.

I have used Mary Kay for 24 years. I gave it to myself for my 21st birthday. I use their skin care line and makeup. I have extremely sensitive skin, and it is the only thing I have found that works well and doesn't irritate my skin. I follow their skin care recommendations of cleansing, refreshing, and moisturizing twice daily. I am often told I look 10-15 years younger than I am. Of course, I don't spend a ton of time in the sun and I don't smoke and I'm not around smokers, so that probably helps a lot, too. And, no, I don't sell it, never have, never will. ;)

I am very fair too, I use Bare Minerals Fairly Light, or CoverGirl Aqua Smooth Ivory 705 or Covergirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Alabaster 305. None are heavy or cakey, and they are all the lightest colors, and none of them seem to affect my oily acne prone skin, either.

I would try a Tinted Moisturizer or a Colour Suplement as a foundation instead of a full on foundation - both blend into your skin better than most foundations. If you want a color match foundation to try I would acctually suggest you go with the Almay brand - it is a very good brand and do one of the best jobs blending in and covering, esp for a "drug store" brand.

Mac foundation is oil based and can be bad for your face if you have sensitive skin. My daughter started using it a month ago, and after two weeks she had major problems. So she stopped and went back to Lancome. (One of her friends sells Mac and talked her into it. It does look cakey in my opinion.)

I also use Lancome, have fair and sensitive skin and I wouldn't ever use anything else. I do use Clinique blush because I like their colors (and prices) better.

I use Mac too.. I recently started using the prep n prime with a tint.. I think it is new. It has a pink tint very very light. Then I use their pressed powder and blush.. And for a little extra glow they taught me Mac counter.. To take Mac bronzer over blush.. Then blend.. ( I do this for nighttime)
I have super fair skin.. Best of luck.. Maybe try the new prep n prime :)

I absolutely love Bobbi Brown's tinted moisturizer. I used Lancome a long time ago but It was too heavy for me at the time. I don't know what they have now. I tried Bare Minerals once too and couldn't stand it. Looked cakey on me.

I use Mary Kay. I like the mineral powder and find that they have a wide selection of colors. I have used the glamour make up all my life since Jr. High. It has changed over the years to say the least.

I do not use the "facial" products. I find that they sting my skin nowadays. They used to be more gentle but now that they are trying to keep up with everyone else and be just like them there is nothing special about MK.

I buy the Extra Emollient Cleansing Cream when I can find it through my MK sales person. It is one of the older, more basic, items. It goes on like Vasoline and melts somewhat at skin temperature. It does not feel like it is burning the skin off my face.

So I use the eye shadows, base, blush, eye brow pencils, etc...but I still love my Great Lash Mascara so I buy that at Walmart.

I am fair, too (blonde and blue-eyed). Almay Smart Shade Makeup in "light" is the best I have tried. Very lightweight, like a moisturizer, and the skin match is perfect.

I am very fair, and I am a Lancome user. They have lots of light shades, and they have the loose powder/mineral-type foundation, as well as the more traditional foundations. I don't wear a full-face of makeup very regularly, but when I do, I've always liked what I have from there (and I love their face lotions/creams with SPF and mascara). (Also, Aveda has a nice powder foundation, but not as many shades to chose from, and if you don't have an Aveda store nearby, then don't bother!)

I use moisturizer and powder. My skin looks flawless. The powder I use is Fit ME. I think it is Maybelleine, but I'm not sure. The compact is Black and Square. It says FIT ME in silver block letters on it. I won't use anything else since finding this makeup. It is awesome!

I also have fair skin and use Lancome aquafusion (?) in fair or light... whatever the lightest one they have is. Love it! It's actually a "tinted moisturizer" so actually less coverage than a regular foundation, but it sounds like that may be what you're looking for.

To match any skin tone this is what I do. Buy two colors. I take a light/translucent foundation and put a dab on the top of my hand. I then add a dot of a darker and mix with a finger to the tone I want, then apply to face. This works great and you can adjust the color for suntan etc in the summer and paler skin in the winter. I have been doing this for years. After spending a fortune on cosmetics because I have sensative skin, I found the ALDI brand liquid foundation and Physicians Formula mineral powder compact go on great, stay looking great all day, do not irritate my skin and are a fraction of the cost!!!! :O)

I use a tinted moisturizer. It goes on light, covers just enough, and stays on all day. I sometimes buy expensive brands but only for certain things like eye primer from Sephora. But the tinted moisturizer is from Cover Girl. Very cost effective and works.
