My 20 month old son is getting bored with his usual yogurt and cereal bar for lunch. He is not crazy about sandwiches, so I have do ideas of what to feed him for lunch. Breakfast and dinner he is a good eater, but not so much for lunch. I would appreciate any lunch ideas you have for an active toddler. Thanks

What can I do next?

My son didn't like sandwiches unless I used a cookie cutter and made different shapes. Also I would give him crackers and use the small cookie cutters and cut out cheese to put on the cracker. He would also eat better if I let him help make it. Good luck!

My son loves to have cheese and crackers for lunch. I usually give him grapes or grape tomatoes with it, sometimes apple slices.
He also loves refried beans with either cheese or sour cream. Once in a while I make him a gardenburger (no bun cut into small pieces) which he like to dip in ketchup.

We sometimes do breakfast for lunch or dinner. I make pancakes a head of time and freeze them. Take them out and toast or microwave them. We do the healthy coldcuts a lot. We try different fruits and veg too, when we can afford them. I try to have something that she will always eat and then some new stuff. Try peanut butter and jelly, or on crackers. I have a 15 month old with allergies, so it is more difficult. Take care.

Pasta, crackers and cream cheese, turkey, chicken, cheese cubes, salmon, with veggies like green beans, sweet potato fries (baked), french toast, bagel, cheese quesadilla, soup, meatballs, chicken or turkey sausage (casing removed) with bell peppers, english muffin pizza (or any kind of pizza), turkey burger, cheeseburger (with or without bun) stuffed baked potato, cream cheese and jelly on pita, hummus, grilled cheese, mac n cheese, ravioli, the list goes on and on, be creative and have fun with it.

How about:
-fruit salad (with lots of melon and berries, etc.)
-small pieces of turkey sausage (just microwave!)
-baked beans (Or any beans, really. Kids love them!)
-chicken nuggets
-soy nuggets (he may be ready for dipping sauces at this age!)
-macaroni and cheese
-bagel with cream cheese
-bagel or toast with almond butter
-crackers with hummos
-macaroni sauteed with peas and carrots (you can get the frozen mix of veggies, and just throw it in- perfect size!)
-cheese and turkey rollups (just get organic and/or nitrate-free cold cuts)

Hmmm I can't think of anything else right now...does this help at all? :)

Our daughter is a huge fan of soup. It takes a little while to get her fed, but it is surprisingly easy!

My 2 year old daughter loves rice. I make a chicken dish with sauce and this way I sneak in the chicken. She also likes sticky rice with cheese and vegetables.

sometimes my son just picks at veggies, fruit and cheese. But if we have left over chicken he loves chicken noodle soup (chicken, celery and carrots added to ramen noodle soup). He also likes beans and rice (I got a recipe off the back of a can).

I give my 22 month old different things each day. Sometimes it's a little leftover from the previous night's dinner, other times it's soup (chicken, tomato), chicken nuggents (Tyson makes 100% natural), w/cheese, scrambled eggs, bagels (mini), turkey meatballs, organic and natural hotdogs, pasta, Dr. Praeger's spinach cakes, potato cakes etc, fish sticks. It's typically experimenting w/whatever he'll eat that day.

Good luck, I know, it's a constant stress factor each day!
