Hello moms!

I am looking to be able to stay at home w/my daughter but still bring in some $ for household bills. Does anyone have suggestions as to working from home? I do not want to really "sell" anything or get into anything that I have to put $$ into to get started. Can anyone suggest a data entry or admin type job from home?? I would like the company to be listed w/the BBB :)

Thanks a TON!

Try going through a temporary or placement agency. officeteam, westaff, corestaff, etc... They may have companies requesting work from home data entry/admin type jobs. That would be the most ligitimate place to start. Best Wishes!

I suggest you look for a local Primerica office. Currently Primerica is doing massive expansions due to them selling themselves as an IPO next year. They do Full-time, Part-time and Flex-time and they help families like ours to be properly protected and financially debt free. Plus they train you so you don't need previous experience. They have a phenomenal training program. If you want I can search and see where your local branch is.

Just be sure you do your own independent research of any company someone suggests on here. I was curious and googled a couple of the companies mentioned here. the first brought up a page full of links to scam complaints against the company. Another response you got named adifferent company - but when you google that company you find out it is a front for the previous company - a way to avoid connection with it's bad name I guess. you will notice the responses from the people promoting these two companies have veru similar wording about there being no sales and only a small investment - both of which seem to be untrue when you investigate further. Just please be very cautious out there!

Have you heard of ChaCha? They are like KGB, the text messaging question answering service. I recently started being one of the people who answers the questions & it's actually fun. I can log in to "work" whenever I want. I usually do it while I nurse my baby or at night after the kids have gone to sleep.

There are a few different roles for which they hire; you can read about the different ones on the site & decide which you prefer. I am an Expeditor, which means I send the questions on to the proper category for the Guides to answer. Each role has a different pay, but we're all paid according to how many points we accrue. As an Expeditor, I get 2 points per question.

There are a couple of not-so-awesome aspects. First, you don't get a payout until you reach $100. I've not yet made that amount & I'm not real sure when I will, but I don't think it's far off. You won't know how much you've earned until the month is over. I started Expediting 12-23, working no more than a couple of hours a day, three-ish days for Xmas when I didn't work at all & made about $15. January's pay-out in larger & I'm quite certain I'll make the $100 this month.

Also, a lot of the questions are sex-related; lots have ugly words. It's not a job for the easily offended, that's for sure. And you wouldn't want any kiddos who can read hanging over your shoulder while you're doing it!

The training is all done online & is really thorough. You have to pass a couple of tests before they'll accept you. There's a forum on the site which is helpful as well.

So it's not going to make me rich, but it's easy, fun, I can do it when it suits me & it's legitimate. Making enough to pay a bill or two a month is good enough for this SAHM!

Hi A.,
For almost 6 years, I've been in partnership with the same great company and I am home with my 2 daughters. The company is listed with the BBB. You won't have to sell, stock or deliver products. There is, however a small investment. But don't let that stop you because the investment is 100% refundable and it does not require you to invest additional money outside of your budget. If you'd like to explore this opportunity, join me for a live webinar to learn the details of the company and the business opportunity.

Here are some times to choose from. Let me know which one fits into your schedule along with the best contact number to reach you 6 minutes before the start time of your choice.

Friday 1/22/10: 8:00 PM - 8:45 PM est / 7pm cst
Sunday 1/24/10: 10:00 PM - 10:45 PM est / 9pm cst

I'm assuming you currently work outside the home? Have you talked with your current employer about work from home options? Before having kids, I was an anaylst with a large nonprofit. When my son was born, my employer let me work reduced hours from home. My husband was also able to tweak his own work hours so that he could work longer some days and be home every other Friday, so that I could go pop my head into my office and leave our son with Daddy.

So I guess my first suggestion is to find out what may be available through your current job. Good luck!

I too and a SAHM. I wanted to start working from home and still be able to stay at home with my daughter (I'm also expecting). Anyway, I came across a great company called Internet CEO Moms. We are a support and training group that has teamed up with a company that produces wellness products. We don't sell any products, take inventory, dealing with money, or have to throw parties. There's also no pricey investment to start your business. I would love to speak with you one on one through email or phone and give you more information. I'm with Rebecca.....be VERY cautious.

There are many scams that sound wonderful and legit. Many people don't realize they are actualy involved in the scam until it is too late.

If you are working now, check with your employer and see if there is a possibility of telecommuting. Other good avenues are temp agencies that get oddball opportunities sometimes that might fit you perfectly.

We are business owners and run our business from home. Sometimes this gets to be too much for keeping up with all the household duties and staying on top on the work I am doing at home. We are currently looking for office possibly office/warehouse space so that we can "step away" from the company sometimes...which is needed.

Good luck.
