Hello Mommies - I am looking for a new job and would really like to find a good "work from home" opprotunity. I have a 2 year old son, and could still send him to daycare or he could stay home with me. Whatever would work. I'm not looking for something like Premier, Tastefully Simple or Party Lite. I'm looking for some type of work I can do either full or part time from my home and not be micro-managed by a boss. If you know anything out there, I would love to hear from you! Thanks in advance!

I started a new hobby (jewelry-making) as something to do with my daughter and have turned it into a little business. I don't have the pressure to bring in any income, so I can decide how busy or not I want to be. With three kids, I'm content with how much time I invest and my income. There are plenty of people out there, though, who have turned their handcrafts into full-time jobs. With the internet and sites like etsy, wildfire, dewanda and handmade.com, there are lots of ways to market your product online. Of course, it doesn't offer traditional benefits like insurance, sick days and vacation days, but the value of being your own boss, the flexibility and independence, as well as the sense of accomplishment are all priceless. Something to consider.

Your best bet, then, would be to start your own business. What are your professional skills?

There is extreme competition right now for the few legit work from home opportunities out there, so consulting could be a really good option. I've done it for nine years now as a freelance writer and love it!

I am a bookkeeper and I am able to work for some of my clients from home. I love the flexiblity I have to set my own schedule, which is ideal for raising a 3 and 4 year old. I don't know what your skills are but this works for me.
