Hi,
I am looking for a restaurant or place to bring in catering for my Mother's 65th Birthday in Bucks, Montgomery County, or NE Philly. There will be around 40-50 people (mostly her friends in their 60's) for a weekend lunch or brunch. Buffet is ok. We can't afford to spend too much, so please let me know if you have any suggestions (thinking around $15-$20 pp). I figure between baby showers and christenings, mamas on this website may have some ideas.

What can I do next?

Try Johnnie's Place. It's an italian restaurant that has party capacity seating in one room, but also has a catering hall attached. The chef/owner and his wife are wonderful people and we have hosted several small parties there in the 10 years since we discovered the place. It is in the northeast, at Comly St. and Harbison Ave, easy access from both 95 and Roosevelt Blvd. I can get the phone number for you if you want. There is a parking lot also. Good luck!

Hi S.,

My husband and I own SmokeEaters Pub in the Mayfair section of NE Philly, Frankford & Sheffield to be exact. We have a private party room downstairs and we'd be happy to host your mother's party.

Our website is www.SmokeEatersPub.com, menus are on the site. There are no pictures of the party room, so you may just want to stop by. Although my project for this month is to get some pictures of the private room.

Let me know if your interested and we can go from there.

Albert's Cafe in NE Philly on Grant Ave. has a few party rooms. One is really, really nice (upstairs) and the other two (downstairs) are nice.
