Looking for/Starting New Orleans/Westbank/Eastbank Playgroup
I am looking for/or would like to start a playgroup for babies in the new orleans/westbank/eastbank area. My 10 month old daughter is an only child and our neighborhood doesn't have any other small children that I know of for her to interact with. I would also love to meet some other moms, and I am hoping that my daughter will get to interact with some babies close to her age.

Hi everyone! Well my daughter is now 1 year old and we still haven't gotten into any playgroup. I'm glad to see some responses and if I want to get this thing organized I guess I need some more information. If you would like to join in on this playgroup please send me an email with your name, child's age & name, and what you want to get out of the group. Also let me know when you could meet up with the group so that I can get an idea of how this whole thing is going to get started. My email address is ____@____.com
This group is going to be primarily a westbank group since I live in Marrero BUT if anyone on the eastbank wants to join in I'm sure that we could figure it all out as far as meetings and days/times. I don't have all of the details ironed out yet but I'm thinking that we could have meetings at parks, the zoo, the aquarium, and in homes. Once this thing gets started I'm sure everyone will have plenty of ideas.

I would love too!! my son just made 1yr. and we don't have children his age in our area. I do work full time, but would be interested in weekends and then in the summer - I am off ( I teach at Jesuit). Let me know what you would like to do. My brother-in-law has a some who just made 8mos.

My name is R. Aguilar and I am 24 years old also. I have one son and he's three. I started a women's group and our first meeting is on Feb. 24th. If you would like to come you are more than welcom and you can bring your daughter. There will be other kids there and a babysitter will be provided. A ten dollar charge will be collected at the door which will cover the food, drinks, and a love offering for the babysitter and guest speaker. I am in a similar situation as you. My son is 10 months old and does not get much interaction with other kids. If you find or start a playgroup I would be interested in joining.
