Looking for Reasonable Childcare for 2 Young Boys near Saint Louis, MO

Hi, I just got done searching here in Brentwood/Kirkwood/Webster Groves/Clayton...the average for a center was about 50 dollars per day. Low was 40. High was 90. It is REALLY hard to find a place for less than 5 days a week. (Of course you can pay for 5 and come for 3.) A Nanny is about 10 dollars per hour. I wish you the best in your search. It is not easy. Now I see why many mamas want to revolutionize child care. I think the Europeans have the best solution thus far. In Italy Pre-school was free and really high quality. Although you pay huge taxes there. Oh yeah, ask for referals from other moms/parents. Give them a call and see what they think of the place you may take your children. I did and it made all the difference. Again, good luck and trust your instincts.

I am a former preschool teacher with the headstart program as well as a former lead teacher with the Kirkwood early childhood program. I would charge $165 for both boys a week. I am not sure where in St. Louis you work, but I live in Kirkwood and I run my own childcare and preschool and currently have openings. I actually have two families now who both live in Fenton but I am close to or on the way to work for them. I take children ages 2 thru 6 years of age. My hours are Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:30pm year round. I charge 28 dollars a day, this includes their lunch, an afternoon snack and their preschool curriculum I use with them in the morning. I have over 17 years childcare experience as well as excellent references and letters of recommendation.
