I know some people have done medical transcription from home and make $40K-$75K, depends on how busy you want to be. The initial investment is about $1500 for instruction and supplies from online accreditation sources. I looked into this when I was really burned out from my career but things turned around. I think of it from time to time only to supplement my current income as my hubby is a full time student and we trade off on child care duties.
