We are relocating from Cincinnati to NW suburbs (we are in the process of trying to find a house). I just found out I am pregnant, and need recommendations of good Obstetricians in the area (i.e. Libertyville, Glenview, etc.). In addition, what are good hospitals to deliver at? I prefer an LDRP (Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum) type of setting.
Any recs would be preferable to just randomly picking a group from the Humana book. Thanks.

I really like my OB/GYN who is Dr. Richard Allen and Dr. Jennifer Chan in Libertyville. He works with Condell hospital there. I had my son there and their new maternity is really nice. I'm pregnant again and will be having my second there also.

Good luck to you!

I had my son at Condell in Libertyville. Labor in Delivery and then recovery in another room. Both were spacious and beautiful the wing is new. The nurses were wonderful. I hated my OB do not use Dr. Cheryl Perlis or Dr. Davis Preskill! I have herd wonderful things about Dr. Richard Allen and Dr. Sarah Wong from friends. Lake Forrest Hospital has a brand new wing too.

It seems the hospital of choice is Lake Forest. I would start there. I used a Dr. Joyce Chams of Buffalo Grove who delivers at Rush North Shore.
Both were great.

I can make a suggestion of who not to go to. Womens Health First they have offices in Buffalo Grove, Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg. I had Humana National HMO but was able to get a PPO so I was able to pick my own doctor. If you have the same insurance I had you might have trouble finding doctors that take it. That was my experince.

I am 22 weeks pregant and love my practice. I've been going to them for years. I go to Northshore Women's Health Associates in Highland Park/ There are two females Therese Hughs and Dori Becker. There is also a male, Richard Adis. They also have an office in Long Grove.

Where are you from in Cincinnati? I relocated from Mason, OH while pregnant with my son 1&1/2 yrs ago. My OB's are at OB-Gyne of Libertyville in Condell Hospital. I loved them! Dr. Jennifer Schaefer delivered my son but all 4 women are wonderful (Spellman, Naganashi, Schaefer & Strohmayer). If there is anything else you need, please don't hesitate to contact me. I know how hard it is to move while being pregnant:o)
