Can anyone recommend an OB/GYNE in the Gurnee area? My husband and I are hoping to have a third baby...I am looking for a physician that listens to my concerns (not dismisses them), who includes ME in medical decision making, and who has great surgical skills (I will be having my 3rd Csection).

I have used Westmoreland Ob for many years, had both of my children through them, family and friends use them as well. There are 4 docs in the office that do deliveries so you can choose which one fits you best. They have an office at Lake Forest Hosp as well as the Acute care center on 120 near 45. Love them! Their number is ###-###-####. I did not have a c-section, but I have friends that have and were very happy.
Lake Forest Ob/Gyn, Dr. Schewitz, Dr. Oshin, Dr. Jacobson Tel. ###-###-####. Offices in Lake Forest and Grayslake. They are really, really good! Could not recommend them enough.
I love my OB/GYNE, Dr. Jennifer Schaefer! She delivered both my boys (c-section) and is a great listener! Wonderful bedside manner! She has an office in Gurnee (the Condell bldg. right by Gurnee Mills) and one in Condell Hospital. Don't know if she's affiliated with any other hospitals. Dr. Nakanishi (sp?) who is also with the practice is wonderful as well.

I highly recommend Michael Benson, who practices out of Highland Park Hospital, and is affiliated with Highland Park Women's Health Care. I have found him to be both highly skilled and up to date with all the latest information, as well as a good listener who takes into consideration my particular concerns and preferences. He has office hours in both Deerfield and Lindenhurst. He delivered my third child, and was far more skilled and competent than my previous OB's. I have continued to see him for the last 13 years, and he was terrific through a bout I had with breast cancer, as well. The only reason I have ever gone to another is because of insurance. She is GREAT!
I second Westmoreland Ob/gyne. I had my 2nd child with them and they were awesome. I actually switched to them mid pregnancy after having a terrible time with another group. All of the doctors are nice and the nurses are quick to get back to when you call. Good luck with your search.
