I'm looking for a good masseuse in the HEB area with evening and/or weekend hours, so hubby can watch the kids when I go. Don't need a fancy spa experience, just someone that does deep tissue and is about $60/hour.
I've looked up providers in the Yellow Pages and have spent money on two massages only to find out they're not what I'm looking for. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I have been going to John Yates at the Message Envy on Colleyville Blvd. in Colleyville. He is great for deep tissue massage. I don't know about evenings but he does do weekend appointments.

However, she does not think deep tissue massage is as effective as some of the gentler techniques that she has studied and uses very effectively. I believe she uses the chinese medicine accupuncture points using the theory that these points have "access" to every body part and that the nerves are often the primary issue when someone has pain. And, there is significant research that shows that accupuncture is the most effective form of pain relief (this research was sponsored by the NIH). I had accupuncture when I had SEVERE neck and shoulder muscular pain and it was truly amazing.
My doctor in Ft. Worth has her come in once a week for both her patients and staff. Since I live in FM, it's easier for me to go to her from home. If you do call her, tell her that one of Dr. Horsley's patients recommended her.

Try Massage Envy. They are everywhere(one in Colleyville market Street area). They have the spa experience with the soft music and dim lights, are very affordable ($40 an hr) and they are open evening and weekends. They have several therapists and you can request deep tissue. You can buy a membership or you can just pay everytime you go. Good luck!
I highly recommend Rebecca Walz. She's licensed and works privately and will come to your home by appointment. I go to this lady who does it in her home. Christian and she also comes up to our offices once a month and does them in our office. She also does them part time at Harris Methodist HEB. I prefer to go to her home. She has a room setup just for massaging and she is VERY professional. She is middle age and does an AWESOME job. look to see if there is a massage envy in your area. I go to one in GP and I pay 49 dollars/month and that includes 1 1 hour massage/mos. Any other massages that months are $39/hour. I enjoy it and they have many different types of massages.
