My name is T. and I have a daughter that will be 3 in Jan. I live off I-10 and Gessner in Spring Branch. I would love get my daughter in some ballet or Gymnastics classes and I was wondering if anyone knows of any in this area?

Just wanted to tell all the moms that answered my question, Thank you very much. We have a trial class at The Little Gym on the 21st of this month.
Star gym next to home depot at the beltway and i10 has been great for my daughter. Also the margo marshall school of dance off of longpoint between bunkerhill and witte is fantastic

You might want to try out in Chapelwood and Second Baptist. They have ballet classes for 3 years olds.. My daughter who is 6 years old went to SBC after school for 3 years. My youngest daughter is taking Ballet classes in Westmister Methodist for the 1st time this year! We love their ballet teachers, Susan Bates and Donna Smith.

We have been at the Margo Marshall School of Ballet for 7 years. My daughter started at age 3 and is now 10yrs. and really loves this place. It has been in Spring Branch since 1958(9902 Long Point Rd.) It is a great place to start with your little girl. The studio conducts tryouts for their annual Nutcracker performance in Galveston's Opera House every year (though not this year due to Hurricane Ike!). I'm not sure if there is a location right around the corner from you but "The Little Gym" is worth a 20min drive or so in my opinion. They have an hour class that offers exactly what you're looking for, as well as much more. Its an hour class with 30min for Gymnastics and the remaining 30min is divided into Ballet and Tap dancing. But they also offer other classes, such as just Gymnastics, or karate, cheerleading, etc. The prices arent too crazy either. Hope this helps, Good Luck =)
Susan Bates, the teacher mentioned by someone else, has classes on Thursdays at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, right near you. Both of my daughters, now 8 and 6, began with Susan at age 3.
They also have tumbling classes on Mondays.
