Hi! I would really like to get my daughter a cute "girly" vanity and stool for Christmas. This wouldn't be her only gift, so I'd like it to be a little on the cheaper side. I've looked on both ebay and Craigslist. I've combed through the internet and can't find one that is in my price-range. She's not asking for one, so she's not set-up for dissappointment, but I know she'd LOVE it. My husband is handy and could fix up a not perfect, used one. If anyone has one and is looking to get rid of it or knows where I could find one in the $40 range I'd appreciate any info you can pass on. Thank you so much!!!
You have probably already done this but I would check out the second hand stores. like goodwill salvation army etc.... you may need to paint and sand it but it makes it that much more precious to give. my daughter and ex son in law got a desk from a garage sale and painted it white and painted little purple butterflies on it. my granddaughter loves it. especially cause "daddy and mommy" made it for her. good luck

walmart.com had one for abou $50 and amazon.com had some cheaper ones. The thing with walmart is you can usually do ship to store so you don't have to pay for shipping.
I just bought my daughter one from the Toys R Us website. They are not sold in stores. It is called Enchanted Bueaty Salon with Sound. If you order it at the store, they will wave the shipping. If you order it from home, the shipping is $27.00 The cost of the vanity was $49.99. I like it because when they lift up different pieces, there is sound to go along with that piece. For example, when you pick up the blow dryer, it sounds like a blow dryer and a voice says "That is a nice hairdue" or the lipstick says "that is a nice color on you".
