Looking for an Attorney for IEP Dispute in San Mateo County

2.You also have great power in the written word. Write to each of the school board members, the Special Services Director, Pricipal, and County and State Special Education Directors. You can write one letter and have a cc to each of these people. If you send just one letter then it can "be lost" but if you have sent several to various people then someone will ave to address it. The schoolboard members are listed at the district office and letters sent there will go into thier boxes. 3. make an appt. with the Special Services Director of your district and talk to them directly and face to face expect answers-- often I was able to find before I left the office with either the parents or myself what would be done that very day.
4. Volunteer to be on the CAC Commitee. Each district is to have with in the SELPHA a Communitte which has parents ,teachers and local leaders on it as a way of keeping in touch with the pulse of the needs of the parents and students. I spent 5 years on this and found that as it meets only 4-6 times a year I got to know the leaders of all 4 School Districts and had personal help to deal with what ever came up with our children.
