Hello,
My family and I will be moving into the East Cobb area in March. My daughter is in a great preschool in the Dunwoody area currently (Dunwoody UMC). Can someone recommend a preschool in East Cobb? I know registration starts soon and I'd love to get her into a school for next year. Thank you!

What can I do next?

I'm not sure how far east you are. First Presbyterian Church Marietta Preschool, right off The Marietta Square, is a great one. I've taught there and had a child there. The others I would recommend are too far West Cobb, so that's the closest I can recommend. Good luck and if you check them out please tell them Miss LaLa sent you. :-) I would love for you to visit my studio when you move to the area, also. I'm just on the other side of The Mtta. Square & offer classes with both music & art in them for birth & up, plus b-day parties, & more. www.MissLaLasTreehouse.com

Welcome to East Cobb!

I live in Marietta, but I send my daughter to Village Montessori school which is in Roswell. Depending on where in East Cobb you are, this might be pretty close to you.

I can't say enough good things about a true Montessori program. It teaches a child so much more than just the ABCs.

Good luck in your search!

Not sure how close you are to Roswell but Roswell UMC is absolutely wonderful! We've been going there for the past two years. Roswell baptist I hear is also good and the Presbyterian Church also. You can try St. Anns in East Cobb. Hope this helps

I'd look at Mt. Bethel UMC's preschool or Johnson Ferry Baptist's Wee School. Of course, that presumes you're going to live in Southern East Cobb. The geographic area is enormous, and if you're like me, you don't want to spend your three hours of free time driving to and from the school. North of 120 and Johnson Ferry, I'm out of suggestions.

My girls go to St. Catherine's preschool. We couldn't be happier with it! The website is http://www.stcatherines.org/preschool.htm
It is located near Wheeler High School. Go in for a tour. I know you will love it too.

Hi. I know I'm a little late in responding. If you haven't already found a preschool I would look into Kids R Kids on Johnson Ferry. I worked there for several years and you'll find teachers that really care about the children. It's one of the top schools in the area. And the benefit to getting her in there now is that she'll automatically get a spot in one of their GA funded Pre-K progams when she turns 4. Otherwise, it's often hard to find openings. Good luck. We'd all love to hear where you end up!

My son went to the preschool at the Eastside Baptist church on Lower Roswell at Holt Road. Eastside Baptist Church. 2450 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta 30068 . They were very good, lots of moms who ran it, no drama or snobism! Good solid preschool with great facilities and community outreaches. No, we didn't go to church there but it didn't matter!
