Looking for a Daycare in the Woodstock/Roswell/Alpharetta Area

I am looking for a daycare for my 1 year old son starting in August on a part-time basis. I did a search a few months ago, and finally found one that seemed to fit what we were looking for. I was VERY wrong - we ended up having to take him out after just two weeks (and them forgetting to feed him!). Anyway, does anyone have any good references for a daycare in the Woodstock/Roswell/Alpharetta area?

My name is A. and I live in the Norcross/ Duluth area and have two children (age 1 yrs old and three years old) You may want to look at this website, type in the county that you live in and they will show a list of daycare centers and you will be able to view any complaints they have had as well as their reports from the state when they were monitored/ review.
The web address is www.decal.state.ga.us
Click at the top (child care services)...the click on the right hand side (search fro child care centers)...Good luck and hope that I helped out a great deal.

First Steps Academy (Mt. Pisgah)- Off Nesbit Ferry/Old Alabama in Alpharetta. This is a wonderful school from an infant to five years old. They are caring, the ratio is good and the teacher turnover isn't high. It is a little on the expensive side, but well worth it and your peace of mind.

Hi there, just saw this request! I wanted to highly recommend the Discovery Point in Alpharetta on Discovery Drive. It is off of Hwy 9 not too far from McFarland Road. We had some really bad experiences also and this one was like night and day. My son is also in the 1 year old room but will be moving on soon. The teacher in there was wonderful but recently left. They have just hired another and I have heard great things about her so far - she used to work there and is now returning. Good luck!

I highly recommend the Primrose Schools. Each one is independently owned and operated, but they have a common curriculum and child care philosophy that is hard to beat. I have had my children in the Woodstock, Bells Ferry & Wade Green Primrose Schools for both preschool, the Georgia Pre-K program, and After School Program. My girlfriend keeps her baby at the one in East Cobb and loves it, too. Their ratios are sensible and they put the welfare of the child first and foremost above "schedules" or "the plan for the day". I was always very comfortable leaving my children in their care.

Good luck!

I have my 4 year old and my 6 month old at Goddard in Alpharetta at State Bridge Road. They are wonderful! I searched and interviewed about 16 centers before I found this one! They are more expensive, but definitely worth every penny.
They also have part time programs.
Hope this helps.
