definitely dep. on the age of the child, I cut my sons hair at home (age 4 1/2). some of the salons charge wayyyy too much and you can even get tips on basic online:)

Hi S.! I just took my toddler to a great place in Pasadena. It's called Kids Kuts Salon on Colorado, just a few blocks west of Target (near San Gabriel Blvd.) They have Sat and Sun appts which make it very convenient. They also have a website: kidskutspasadena.com. their phone # is 6) ###-###-####.
Hope this helps!

Little Kuts on Lake in Pasadena

I've taken my boys to First Cut in Orange County. They're fine with short cuts but I wasn't happy with my baby's cut. I wanted to keep his curls and leave it a bit longer. They didn't know how to do that. In the Arcadia area, there's Yellow Balloon. Again, they're okay with short cuts but don't know how to just clean up a longer style. I'm really just curious to see what other people have suggested because we still don't have a place to take my younger son.

Like most moms, I used to cut both my boys hair until recently. My husband took both of them (5 yr and 2 1/2 yr boys) to Magic Cut on Foothill. They love it and the lady who own the place was so nice. Good luck.

My 2 year old son really likes Little Kuts in Pasadena. There is a nice play area with a train table and a variety of other toys. They have a video screen for children who enjoy watching movies. There are traditional chairs and also some cute horses (like on a merry go round) for the children to sit on. I like the staff because they seem to know how to work with children and do a good, quick job. My son's been going there for a year (he needs a cut every 6-8 wks) and he's always had a good time!
