Keeping Diapers On...
I can not keep clothes or diapers on my 22 month old twins. None of my friends have had this problem so they are of no help. :) I have tried putting their diapers on backward, they help eachother take them off, blanket sleepers, they now know how to undo the button and unzip them, onsies on backward, they can get them off. I am running out of options and hope someone has found a solution to this. Bluejeans help but I do not like to keep bluejeans on the all the time, they have really bad skin then the jeans irratate it.
So What Happened?™
Thank you everyone for the advice. I am trying to potty train, they just pee so much! :) We are just in the beginning so I will keep posted, they did a little better today with me in the living room almost all day, only wearing diapers. We had a couple of times they took them off but no where near as many. The worse part is bed and nap. But I am sure it will get better. I am thinking about pull-ups and have been, unfortunatly right now they are way expensive. I know soon I will not have a choice I have just been waiting as long as possible, we already go through a 92 pack of pampers in less than a week, and they have to have pampers, they are allergic to everything else. :) Gotta get to chores. Once again thank you.

i have had this problem also. My friend suggested to me to use little boys underpants (the smallest size they have). i put them on over the diaper and it worked for me. i hope that you are able to find something even if my suggestion does not do the trick for you.

Discipline - time-out. They are old enough to be punished for behavior they know is unacceptable.

Honey sounds like you are a very busy woman. Cut cost somewhere else, turn up the heat and relax. They will grow out of it. Sounds like asserting independence to me. Good luck and keep up the good work.

hi J.,
my name is A. and i went throu the exact same thing with my twin daughters. The time outs were not helping, and they were not quite ready for potty training. They also quickly figured out how to get the pull ups off. they helped eachother with everything. So the only thing we found that worked for a while was duct tape. It comes in lots of colors and we had to wrap it all the way around but not too tight, of course.
It sounds pretty bad but it didn't hurt the girls and it helped me keep my sanity.
good luck!

J., if they won't were diapers, see if they will wear pull-ups and tell them that they are their "big pants". They may be getting to the stage where they want to start potty training. I have also found that the cheap pull-ups from the dollar store are just as good, if not better than the name brand, and you'll save at least $4 per pack. As for the clothes, if you're at home, let them run around in the pull-ups. Who knows, maybe they'll go ahead and potty train and you won't have to worry about diapers any more for the twins. I hope this helps!

J.,
Once my 2 children learned how to undress themselves it was all over for us too. So, to keep from having a constant clothing battle I let them take em off occassionly - only while we were at home alone. May not be kosher, but it worked. It also helped with potty training for us. Without a diaper on they would go to the potty as oppossed to using the diaper. Some accidents did happen, but they were few.
Another thing I did was to give special treats for keeping their clothes on (stickers worked well for us, but use whatever you think they'd like).
My husband didn't much like my methods so the few times he watched them during this phase (and yes, it's a phase) he'd put duct tape around the diaper. It's a bit stronger than the diaper's tape and a little harder to get off. Our children were also reminded repeatedly that they could only go without a diaper at home when there was no one else there. When we left the house or when we had company their clothes were to stay on.
Hope this helps :)

I had the same problem, but with my daughter and I only had one child at a time so I don't know if this will help you. But Try to put the sleepers on backwards. You will have to cut the feet off the sleepers though. It was the only was I was able to make sure they kept them on. I think you are in more trouble because they help each other.
