My 3 1/2 year old daughter has just expressed an interest in karate classes. Can anyone recommend a place in or near Norton. Good or bad, I'd like to know either way.

Thanks!

My son (who just turned 5) has been going to Personal Best in Norton (right on 123, near the 495 interchange) for about a year and he absolutely LOVES it!! Miss Joyce is a fabulous instructor for the little ones and the support staff there goes out of their way to work with you. They give you a month free to make sure your child likes it and will stick with it, then you have to commit to 6 months at a time. Free uniform too - I highly recommend them! We actually commute there from Attleboro because they are so wonderful.

Hi, I have heard great things about the Red Dragon Martial Academy from different people that live in Norton. Some of my children in my Pre K class go their.

I used to work for Personal Best. I also recommend them. However, I would wait until she is 4. They have a program for 3 year olds, so you could go in and see about that, but having taught the 4-6 year old age group, I recommend that you wait until 4. Their website is personalbestkarate.com.

Dear D., Personal Best Karate has been a wonderful karate program for my son, who started when he was about 6 yrs. He LOVES this program, it has taught him focus, self control, confidence, respect and fitness. I know that PBK has a Norton location. We go to the center in Norwood and they take ages 4 and up. Coincidentally, there is a workshop June 6th at 3 pm at the Personal Best in Norwood, which is open and free to all (as part of its community service PKB is training my au pairs on safety and self defense.)
