I have a 10 month old son and take him to Dr. Fred Aldrich. ###-###-####.He is on Ingersoll Ave Between 31st and 28th.
I love his office. They are very personal, he listens to you, there are steady consistant workers, you always see Dr. Aldrich, they will get you in no matter what. I switched to him from the Des Moines Pediactrics on Beaver (I felt like they were not treating my son correctly)and have loved the switch.

I highly reccoment Dr. Aldrich.

Good luck on the search.

Depending on what part of town you are in I have 2 recommendations. Mercy West Peds.-Dr. Jon Van Roekel and any of the others there too. Or Mercy North in Ankeny now has a peds clinic that we have been thinking of switching too as I love the docs there....both women, Dr. Rivers and Dr. Shutte. Nothing at all against the ones at West except that we are 5 minutes from Ankeny and 20 minutes from West Des Moines. Good luck!

I have 2 girls 19months and 11 weeks and I go to Dr. Kimberly Stoll she is with Mercy clinics. She is wonderful..I have done a lot of researching to find the right Dr. I would recommend having a consult w/ any Dr. first to see if they will be a right fit for your needs and your baby's needs. Best of Luck,if you have any questions let me know..

I take my daughter (16 months) to the Mercy Central Pediatric Clinic right behind the hospital. Her primary is Dr. William Salow, but we have seen just about all of the doctors and have had great experiences with them all. I love that they are affiliated with the hospital b/c there are no questions asked when they have had to sent us right over. We have gone there since birth and would recommend them to everyone. As a first time mom, I loved them because they helped me as well when I had questions about myself in those first few weeks adn was already there for my kid!

I take my daughter to Des Moines Pediatrics. THey have two locations; one in Beaverdale and another one in West Des Moines which is really nice. The staff overall is fantastic and there are many doctors to choose from which is very helpful when your child is sick and needs in that same day. I've had to call the on call doctor once and he was the most caring doctor you could probably get on call.
Hey, if you are new to the area, come on in to my salon and I'll give ya a free haircut to welcome you to the area.
Anyhow, good luck with it all. Be picky!!!

Both of my boys' pediatricians are located at the Blank Children's Clinic in Blank Hospital (Methodist) downtown. They see Dr. Nathan Boonstra. http://www.iowahealth.org/body.cfm?xyzpdqabc=0&id=174...

Good luck - there are a lot of great doctors in Des Moines!

I love Dr. Amy Wallin at Walnut Creek Pediatrics, right across from the Walmart on 73rd/8th street.

She is so nice, and she takes so much time with me. She has been with me since I was in the NICU with my twin girls (4 years old), and she is also awesome with my eleven year old. I like the fact that she's a woman, and will be there for my girls as they grow up and go through puberty. The staff and nurses at Walnut Creek are wonderful too.

Their number is: ###-###-####

I would recommend Dr. William Salow the phone number and address is ###-###-#### : 330 laurel St. Suite 2100 des moines. His office is next to Mercy Hospital. The nurses at the hospital recommended him to me for my daughter when she was born and my husband and I are very happy with him. He is very nice and answers all your questions, explains everything to you and takes the times for you to ask anything you have concerns about. I'm surprised my 7 month old recognizes him and is always smiling when she sees him.
