Is BUILD a BEAR Good Idea for 3 Year Old Boy's Birthday?

We did build a bear. And honest opinion here. If its for your son to go with you to do and have a fun time then go for it. If your doing it with more than just your son that are that age it will be a chaotic time to say the very least. also extremely expensive. I took my son and grandson. Figuring cost maybe what $40 as it is advertised as being $9.99 per bear. ok so that is the most stripped down version. no clothes, no music/meow box inside nothing but bear and birth certificate. So thats not a bad thing but when your in getting said bear/animal you have to walk to back of store to get it stuffed. and right next to stuffing is the wall of clothing accessories. clothing and accessories are sold in outfits upwards of $15 to $25 each and that doesn't include shoes and or hats and accessories lol. So just saying you may want to rethink that whole idea and wait for a later time or just pick one special friend to do it with. now having said all that I don't know your budget if you can swing $40 or more per kid then it may be a great time. Just not in our budget. have a happy birthday party

I would say try Noah's Arc Animal Workshop (they are on the web). They are a traveling build a bear type workshop. They come to you and the kids get to stuff their own animal rather than have a machine do it. Check them out.

i think he would love it!!!! i know plenty of 3 yr olds that have done build a bear & loved it .....my daughter did it for her 4th but i will do it next year for my other daughters 3rd bday she was so in love with the store & all the other stuff that went with it

i don't think it's good for a 3yo. it'd be a waste. the point of build a bear is the process, and does a 3yo care? build a bear is better for kids a little older, in my opinion, like 5.
