There is a great resource for groups at Mother's Haven in Encino but the charge is $250. I can't afford that right now. I would love to share with other Mom's for support and education and fun.

What can I do next?

J.,
I highly suggest meet up--it's free. There are so many groups for mommies. I know they have a single moms group too.
Go to http://www.meetup.com/. Click on parenting groups.
If you have questions, feel free to e-mail me.

Join Burbank Adult School's Parent Ed program - www.burbankparented.org - it's $95.00 for a semester and it's an incredible program and support system! I joined with my first daughter when she was 2 years old, but they offer classes for parents with infants and up till pre-K age.

Try the Pump Connection in West Hills. It's on Ventura, one block west of Shoup. Their number is ###-###-####. I know that they are starting a new support group soon.
I'm a J. S., too!

Hello J...I was given a flyer for Mid-Valley MOMS Club and it looks very interesting. I have no idea about any fees. Their website is www.momsclub.org. They have a local chapter in Encino. Hope this is helpful.

There's a great support group at St Joseph's Hospital in Burbank. It's in the babywise classroom and meets Wednesdays at 12:30pm. Only $8 donation a time and that's only if you have it. If not, it's no big deal. Informative topics each week and then you visit with the other moms. There are other days for older babies, too! I highly suggest trying it out.

I am a therapist in Encino and I am starting a women's support group on Monday evenings. The group will run for 10 weeks and will focus on relationship issues with partners, children, parents, siblings, etc., as well as other women's issues. You can access all of the info on the following webpage: http://steinpsych.com/clinical-services/womens-group. I hope you can join us!
