Mommy and Me - Van Nuys, CA

I don't know what part of the valley you prefer, but the Woodland Hills recreation center has a good mommy and me class that is a good price. If you pay more, Gymboree is a lot of fun for the kids and mom.

I attend the Burbank Adult School's Parent Ed program. They offer classes from infant to pre-K and it's awesome. YOu'll meet so many amazing parents and have a lot of fun. I've found many new friends. Check it out, go to www.burbankparented.org

Highly recommend My Gym. There's one in Encino, Toluca Lake and Northridge. I used to work there before kids and it's an amazing program for kids 3 months old to 9 year old. Mommy and me is up to 3 1/2. Definitely check it out!

Check out www.educationandenrichment.com. It has a bunch of local resources and there is a category under Enrichment called Parent & Child that has a lot of great Mommy & Me activities listed.

There's a great program in Burbank run by Burbank Unified Schools. My girlfriend runs the program and it's very high quality. It's worth checking out. Good Luck.

Try googling "Baby Bootcamp". I do it in Santa Monica but they might have it in the valley....

My son and I have been in a mommy and me class at A Mother's Haven in Encino since he was about your son's age and he is now 9 months old. The class is awesome and all of the babies will be about the same age (they cluster the classes by birth month). You can go to their website (just google "A Mother's Haven") and give them a call. Also, if you get Synthia for your leader you guys will be super lucky because she rocks! Have fun!!

Many of the colleges offer Parent Ed classes (Mommy & Me) that are free. I'm not sure at what age your child can start but you could research and possibly get on the baby class waiting list. Those are the most difficult classes to get into. Pasadena, Glendale and Burbank all offer classes that I know of.

Babies 1st Class with Jackie Rosenberg. She is located in Sherman Oaks (Cnr or Beverly Glen and Ventura Blvd). You can start at 4 months old.
You could also try a Mothers Haven in Encino for classes.

Saint Joseph's Hospital in Burbank had one when my son was born 4 years ago. I am assuming they still do. It is free and it was a great way to get out and be with others! I also go to a Parent Ed class in Granada Hills---Kennedy San Fernando Community Adult School. We both really enjoy that too...
