I've been looking for Mommy & Me Classes and they are all pretty expensive. I've looked into Gymboree, My Gym, The Little Gym. Does anyone know of a mommy & me class in a nearby adult school or recreation center? My DD is 5 months old now and I neeeeed to get out of the house! Thanks!

What can I do next?

If you don't mind driving over to Santa Monica, there is a group of women that get together every week or so. No fees or anything, just a bunch of women that want to get out of the house!
If not, try Meetup.com. That is where I found this group. There are a ton of groups on there that do charge, but some might be free like this one.
Some groups are so ridiculously overpriced!

10 years ago when I used to take Parent Ed at the Burbank Adult School, it used to be free but I guess things have changed. Although, the Parent Ed program in Glendale through the Glendale Community College is still free and not a far drive from Burbank. And just to clarify, when I say Parent Education, it's essentially Mommy and Me :)

Check out Kuki's Playshop. It's right behind the Costco on N. Lake. here's the link: http://www.kukisplayshop.com/ I'm not sure what their rates are, but it's a really neat studio and definitely worth checking out. Besides their classes, they have all sorts of other fun events.

You can also join CityMommy and find people in your area that way. It's a free site for LA moms. http://la.citymommy.com

I hope you find something you like!

The Burbank Adult School has a great Mommy & Me program that costs around $100 a semester. My son has been going there for a year and we both love it. They don't have the full parent education classes during the summer but just opened registration for the fall. Enjoy your little one.

Burbank Adult School for sure! I took both my girls there for years when they were little. It's awesome! If Teacher Karen is still there, take her class. She's the best! Here's their info:

Hi There!
I'm a Mommy and a Certified Early Childhood Educator, who recently opened up Mommy and Me Classes in the area (On Burbank, just past Cahuenga @ Madilyn Clark Studios). My intro rates are very inexpensive, comparatively speaking. Broadway Bouncers is a developmental curriculum I created using a variety of music theatre songs and stories. My website is www.BroadwayBouncers.com . It's $10 a class or $35 for 4 classes. I still have 3 spots left in my Mommy and Me (Broadway Babies) class on Wednesdays at 10am. Hope to see you! Best, L. from www.BroadwayBouncers.com
