Wondering if could get any recommendations regarding an IVF doctor in Frisco. My husband has a vasectomy. I have a daughter from prior marriage but he has not had any kids. I was given several names from my Obgyn.

Dr. Douglas in Plano
Dr. Goldstein in Frisco
Dr. Rodriquez

Any suggestions would be helpful

Dr. Rodriguez is great. I would highly reccomend him. We used him for IVF about 4 years ago and now we have a 4 year old son. His personality is a little more open and fun than some of the other doctors I saw. But, that's really what I was looking for.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these doctors. I've actually used two doctors (Dr. Douglas for son #1 and Dr. Rodriquez for son #2). They were both good although I think that Douglas is more widely known. I've also heard good things about Dr. Goldstein.

Good luck!

Hands down Alfred Rodriguez, MD. Unlike several fertility doctors, you actually see Dr. Rodriguez for consults and several of your visits. He runs the lab at Texas Health Resources Presby Plano. His entire staff is absolutely wonderful and they handle your insurance, medications, etc for you. That takes a huge load of stress off. He is a great guy and makes a very stressful time a fun, caring process. We did four cycles plus an embryo transfer and have two perfectly healthy girls (I was 38 and 43). We were successful on cycle 2 and 4. Each time he thoroughly reviewed my case, made necessary changes and very thorough recommendations. He and his staff were direct and honest, but kind an empathetic. God is in charge, but He certainly used these guys in our life!

Hey! We had wonderful success with Dr. Brian Barnett with IVF on the first try. Our little one is almost 5 months. His is located on Legacy in Frisco. We saw him before he moved out to Frisco at the Presby Plano location. He's talented. We met with him several times, and I gotta admit to being somewhat demanding, and he listened and delivered. He's forward and to the point, but one thing you will come to understand with fertility treatment is that timing is EVERYTHING. We did one IUI treatment first, which failed, but it was good for me to have a chance to "practice" and to understand things a little better before moving on to IVF. I think the IUI really helped contribute to our quick success with IVF. We have no specific reason for our troubles, so I'm so glad it all worked out. Good luck to you, take lot's of deep breaths, think about your beliefs and what you want to achieve and how you want to get there.

I am presently seeing Dr. Goldstein at Baylor Frisco. I have to say that I have seen one other fertility doctor in Plano and Dr. Goldstein is the first who has actually sat down with me and gone over everything. I have two girlfriends who have seen him and were pregnant in about six months so that makes me feel good. The other thing is that the office is very big into communications. For example, when I get lab work done, I can log into the patient portal and see the result with the doctors comments. The nurses call me and make sure everything is okay.

When we first met with Dr. Goldstein, he actually is the first doctor that talked to me about the emotional aspects of infertility and Linda as well, talked to me about the Mind Body program.

His web site is www.fertilitydallas.com.

Good luck in whoever you choose, but if you don't want to feel like a number, you should definately look at this practice

We used Dr. Rodriguez awhile back. He is supposed to be one of the best. He can be a little 'corny' (calls you 'girl'), but his nurse Linda was awesome and she is the one you see most of the time. You meet with Dr. Rod for consultation and the big procedures. Good Luck!

My daughter is a Dr. Douglas miracle. He's a great dr, but more importantly, his staff is GREAT! You have more contact with them each month than the actual doctor.

I wish you all the luck and blessings! We are going back to Dr. D next month to try for #2 ourselves. :)

My husband and I got pregnant on the second try and had a wonderful healthy girl. We assumed when we were ready for #2 it would again be sooo easy. We even planned the birth month. So arrogantly. HA! After months and months we went to Dr. Douglas. We worked with him for a span of 3-4 years. Nothing was ever definite about a problem. I think he took us down the path that he probably takes everyone. I think he's pretty good, but he basically runs the charts and the nurses do everything else. I had 6 iui's and he never did one of them. We did do and IVF and saw a little more of him. You will not get a real personal feeling of support directly from him, but I did from his staff. His "partner" is Dr. Bennett and he seems more personable to me. It depends on what you're looking for. Plus, ya'll will have to go to a urologists to get started. We used to joke about Dr. Douglas being the "great and powerful oz" b/c he was behind the curtain running everything, but we never saw him. That is what I experienced. A little advice about infertility treatment is: Be as aggressive as you can. Time gets away quickly. I hope I helped in some way. I wish ya'll lots of luck and babydust.
