I'm Speechless.... Anyone Used Answer Lab Stip Pregnancy Test?

So the past 3 days I've had very light off and on brown discharge which I was assuming was implantation spotting. So this morning I took a test and there was a very faint positive line!!! I was shocked! How could I have a positive already? I looked online and it said you won't get a positive test until about 5 days or more after the implantation. So whats up then? I'm either farther along than I thought, or maybe it's a false positive? I haven't had a period sense my last baby due to breastfeeding (she is 13 months now) so I don't have a previous one to go off of. Anyone else had a positive test with light spotting, did that end in a miscarriage? I used the Answer lab stip pregnancy test (pink dye). I looked that up and it said your HCG had to be at least 100 for it to be positive! That can't be right. Anyone used this brand?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the comments but today I'm more confused and irritated than ever! So that box had 5 test strips in them. I used them like this, took the first one in the evening and it was neg. took the second one in the morning at the 10 minute mark there was that faint pink second line. Took the third one later that night and again around the 10 minute mark there was a very faint line. Took four and five yesterday both were neg. Went and bought the good first response test and took it this morning, it was neg. So maybe those positives were evap lines? But they had faint pink color...I though evap line were gray? It's still early so I will test again later this week. But now I'm wondering if the spotting was ovulation spotting and not implantation spotting? Who knows?!?! Nope not preggo! Just started my period last night. So I either had a few false positives or I had a chemical pregnancy. So looks like I should be ready to try in about 2 weeks!

yep, i'd say your pregnant! congrats! the tests these days are so sensitive, so i would believe it. when i was preg (i tested really early) and i had a faint line. i tested a few weeks later and the line was super dark. i would go to the dr. to confirm and its been long so i cant remember if i had discharge. all i can remember is feeling nauseated very early in my pregancy. its a weird kind of nausea, not that i was going to vomit, but just a queasy feeling.

Hi B.~
I've never used those particular pregnancy tests, so I can't help with that part of it. BUT, I was always so impatient in waiting for a missed period.

With 2 of my 3 kids, I took my tests well before I was even due, before I'd even had a chance to spot or bleed. Both times, it was positive! They were both faint lines, but they were indeed positive. With my 3rd baby, I went to the dr. right away, and I was literally only about 3 weeks along!! Yeah, that's how impatient I was!!

If you're a bit weary still, try retesting again in a week or so!!

Congrats to you!!!

I had a faint pink line and hadn't even missed a period yet. I was about 3 weeks along... On my first ultrasound (about three weeks after that) the tech said, "Wow, your baby is so small I can practically count how many cells there are." Haha. Congrats!

I used that brand, because it was on sale I think. Anyways, it was positive when I took it and was correct!

I don't know about the brand but I had implantation spotting and tested positive about 5 days before my period was due. It was correct and he is 2 1/2 now. Congrats!

never used that brand but a positive is a positive. implantation could have happened and it took a little time for that stuff to come out. I never had the implantation bleeding though so i dont know how that works.

Are you on the pill yet? That can give a chemical positive.

I used two different brands of tests(different form yours as well) to track since I hadn't "missed" my period yet, I was just feeling off and bought them on a whim. I either had a chemical due to my pill or going off my pill thinking I was pregnant made me have a period and I lost the pregnancy. Both are possible.

I would suggest buy in another brand waiting a week and testing again.

False positives are unlikely, your body has to have the HCG hormone in order to trigger the positive line. You are probably pregnant, but have your doctor order a blood serum test if you really want to know for sure. Otherwise, take it easy and try not to worry about it for a week and then re-test. Good luck!

I never used that brand, but was super impatient, and could tell (cramping) when implantation was with all 3 of my kids. I never told my husband until there was positive test, but I always knew right away I was pregnant.

I always took the pregnancy test before my period was due (like up to 3 or 4 days before) and they always came back positive with a faint line.
