I'm So Boring!

Hi Moms,

I feel like I'm missing my creative activity side as a mom. I see and hear so many other moms coming up with fun and crafty ways to keep their kids busy and having fun during the day.
Can you please send your craft and activity ideas my way to help keep my kids enjoying their summer. My hands are pretty full right now to take them out places since I have a 3 mnth old so I'm looking for activities to do while at home.

Thank you so much for any help!

What can I do next?

I've found The Preschoolers Busy Book to have TONS of fun activities for you and the kiddos. It has definitely kept us busy this summer :)

How about side walk chalk murals - big bubble wands and bubble sticks of differant sizes - bubble bath in a kiddie pool - paper braclets with glitter pens and crayons - cookies with icing (you make cookies with girl) and all of you ice them - food coloring in milk they could stir and drink - finger paints - make ice cream or shakes - construction paper and popcylce stick puppets - posters for dad, like we miss you, while he is at work -
You know the library has lots of books on crafts, and there are some sites on the web also. I would look for preschool crafts. I myself am not too crafty but these are things my kids enjoy. Maybe you could have your daughter write down some ideas. Have fun!

There is a magazine called Family Fun that is a great source of ideas. It has food ideas to make with your kids, games, travel, crafts and is all about things to do with family. For example in the July issue has sparkly 4th of July crafts, creative family word games, healthy kid-friendly salads, 10 ways to enjoy a summer day. The website is www.FamilyFun.com

I always keep a lot of colorful construction paper at home because you can do so much with it. I love going to the Dollar Tree because you can get so many crafty things there for nearly nothing. A lot of the moms in my street shop the Oriental Trading catalog for small children crafts.
